Weather Fd P Refresh (For Dummies (Computer/Tech))

Inspired by Bill Gates book, How To Avoid A Climate Disaster, I decided to buy the book Weather for Dummies. I never bought a book"for dummies" before. This one has changed my mind about the series. I wish everyone would read it. Very informative.

The book is OK in regards to the definitions of the main terms that are used in weather forecasts. But I failed to find good explanations about the physical processes that create the weather and the climate. I found better explanations on Wikipedia.

I gave it for my son in law, he's into weather stuff. My husband had gotten one before.

Great, practical, witty introductory text to weather science. Explanations are lucid and free of jargon and political grandstanding.

It may have a late 2020 publication date, but the book hasn't been updated in 20 years. I think that's misleading. e.g. for internet resources it lists Usenet and mailing lists and climate change info is from the 1990s.

Book as good as expected (recommended by Bill Gates). Seller shipped it out quickly. Thanks

I love the Dummies series, and this book was another perfect addition to my collection!

Easy to read. Makes listening to weather report more understandable.

It didn’t turn up

I've always wanted to understand the weather, and this book made me understand. Now I can talk about it with my wife, who is a meteorologist and hydrologist :)

Ottimo testo ben fatto. Chiaro ed esaustivo. Si legge bene. Unica cosa: le unità di misura sono in Sistema Imperiale quindi vanno convertite per avere un idea di quello che si legge più familiare al nostro sistema SI
