Easy to use. Instructions were clear and straightforward. Takes about 5 minutes to perform the test and get results. I let my blood test card dry for an hour or so before I placed the stick-on clear sheet on it to preserve the results.

Everyone should know their blood type and this kit is a quick simple solution to that. Both of my kits worked perfectly and we were able to ID my husband’s blood type and then confirm that the cards were accurate by testing mine which was already ID’ed by medical professionals. Despite the lancet (which is bigger than a standard diabetic one, but it isn’t horrible) I think this is a great thing to have and do for yourself and your family’s medical records. It even includes a laminate sheet to protect the card after the test. Very thoughtful.

I’m 37 and somehow didn’t know my blood type, I’m sure it’s in a chart somewhere but thought it might be useful to have this knowledge myself. The process couldn’t have been more straight forward and was easy to complete. Even my partner who hates blood was able to handle this.

Did this kit with my father about 5 years ago and came out with a B positive blood type. Recently joined the military and had my blood professionally drawn to find my true blood type which also came out as B+. After getting over the small prick in the beginning it was very exciting to find my blood type for fun and have it be accurate to my true blood type.

I think the description says this test can be done in 10 minutes. I guess, I am slow, or maybe they literally mean the time it takes to do the steps required and not the time it takes to figure it out in the first place. To be clear, it isn't difficult, but the first time through is definitely slow. Three takeaways from my experience (I had to use two test kits). 1) Step 2 is to use the tiny plastic squeeze bulb with water to wet the test circles. Should I use distilled water? I used tap water <shrug> 2) Work quickly once you prick your finger. My finger stopped bleeding before I had time to get blood on all the samples. (Hence, I had to use of another test kit and prick my finger again). 3) When putting blood on the EldonStick, don't try to put it in the little cup-like part. Put it on the bottom. If you look at the instructions, the drawing shows this, but I couldn't resist treating the thing like a little dipper--don't be like me. Put it on the flat part and then smear it around in the test circle. Finally, one last critique, is that I wasn't sure how to interpret the results. They give some pictures of agglutinated samples, but to my untrained eye, it still seemed kind of subtle.

This was a great experience. We now know what our blood type is in case of emergencies! Super easy process and quick results!

Worked well and instructions were very clear. I already knew my blood type, so I used one test as our control card. My husband had no clue what his type was, so we had him use the second one. The control card showed my correct blood type, so we're confident that my husband's results are correct.
