I made a fireplace surround. This was my first mosaic. The mesh worked great. All lines were straight, makibg it easy to align the tiles. It was also strong enought that I could tack it to the wall to see how it would look before permanently adhering.

Very durable and quite stiff. I bought a smaller amount to start with as I've never used mesh before. Next time, I will buy it on a roll as it was folded in the box and it took a bit to get the fold out so the tiles would sit nice. I also put some plastic wrap under the mesh then used Weld Bond to glue the tiles onto the mesh. Obviously, the glue will go through the mesh on onto your surface. The plastic wrap doesn't allow this to happen and just peels right off the back of the mesh. The tiles glued firmly in place, the mesh was firm enough that my design didn't fold over and I'm quite excited to see how it works when I apply it to my substrate.
