4 In The Package and They Work
I always buy this brand since I have discovered it. Mainly because there are four in the package instead of three, like most brands. It isn't a lot higher price either by having four in the pack. It's about the same price as a pack of three. But, also because this works for my cat. I can use then for 4 months of treatments before I have to buy another one, which means I only have to buy three boxes a year instead of four which is a huge savings for me. Plus, they're less expensive than the other brands also. They are easy to use because I just have to part the cat's hair right between her shoulder blades and squeeze the tube on. There's not an overabundance of it like there are in some brands that get her hair all oily looking. But with the amount, that is in there, seems to keep any pests away from her. She is a house cat so I'm not sure how these would work for a fulltime outside cat, but for an inside cat I haven't had any problems at all since I've started using this brand. So if flea drops her hard for you to afford I would recommend these where you get four to a pack. Last month I had a cat that showed up here that came in my kitty door to visit us and hung around for a few days. Since I have enough tubes in her box of drops I went ahead and put one on him while he visited to make sure he wasn't carrying anything in that I didn't want here. So if you have one cat or more cats this is a good deal. I've always given my cat a treat after I put the drops on her, which makes it much easier because she knows she's going to get Temptations right afterwards. She has kind of long hair so certain times of the year her hair is harder to deal with than others. During that time I just dampen her hair slightly to separate it so that I can see the skin under. It has to go on the skin in order to work good. She will stand still while I put them on, but when I'm done she goes straight to the kitchen looking up at where I keep her Temptations Treats. Cats are very intelligent. A previous cat that I had I would put the drops on while he was eating. For him it was much easier to do while he was eating. For the length of time they last I would say they probably do last for the full month, because I have a calendar where I put the sticker, that comes in the Box, to show the day I gave or the drops and I don't notice her scratching before it's time to put them on again. Since each area has different types of fleas I can't promise they will work for your area that you live in. I live in the Central Valley of California. With our California heat sometimes it's hard to control fleas, so these drops must be a good product since we don't have fleas in our house.

A must-have for cats during flea season
I've been using Advecta Plus for a few years now and am generally pleased with its performance. Like many flea treatments of this sort, it is applied between the cat's shoulder blades to prevent licking while it is still wet. I've never seen any adverse skin reaction when used. It's supposed to last for four weeks, but I've noticed a drop off in effectiveness after about three weeks. This year where I live we didn't have a hard freeze which means the flea population has exploded putting much stress on my cats. Advecta flea treatment mitigates their discomfort, but because of how this medicine works the fleas don't die until they have already bitten your cat. That single bite still causes the kitty irritation and slight scabbing on the bitten area. I help relieve this distress for my cats by combing them out daily with a fine-tooth stainless steel flea comb. I very seldom find any fleas at all, but the comb does pick up quite a bit of dander and scabs from the bites. However, it does its job well and the good news is the fleas don't stick around and fester on my kitties. This also means they aren't scratching and biting on themselves nearly so much which improves their overall appearance, leaving their fur much shinier and soft. I recommend Advecta, it's a good product.

Finally! So pleased.
Finally found something that works. I have been talking about this for over a year. Not this product, but flea traetments. I have gone through Frontline Plus (best, but after two weeks, fleas start to appear), PetArmor Plus (same ingr. as Frontline Plus, but for some reason it was dropping effectiveness after a week), BioSpot (no, just no, didn't do a thing), Adam's Flea and Tick Spray (really great if you do it every two week, but the smell in the house can get potent and the cat being a little wild still was yeah, haha), and Adam's Flea and Tick drops (nothing, terrible). It's our backyard that is the problem. The rats have been using our neighborhood as a place to go through. They bring fleas all over the place. I don't like to use harsh sprays because of the birds we always have around, and the dogs use the backyard a lot. Well, I finally can say that it's been almost two weeks and this product is still going strong. I'm getting the cat version for the cat now because she was on Revolution from the vet, but I'd rather something I can purchase at a lower price and on my own, without going to the vet. I have two dogs who get an allergic reaction really bad from just one flea bite. I have noticed that with my older dog, she is sleeping better and finally has stopped scratching. I was having to do quite a lot to ease her pain. For her, even if the flea bit her days ago, she'd still be scratching. I thought it was environmental and now I see that the allergy itchies just keep up for days after. A note about this product though. I live in Washington state. You may have a hit or miss with effectiveness depending on where you live, and how many pets you have. This one worked for me. I'm seriously overjoyed with this product. And the best part is the affordability. I have been watching the Advantage II but it was just too expensive for me with all the animals I have to dose. But this one is GREAT. None of the dogs got sick and what I reallllllly liked was that it absorbed within hours. The BioSpot stayed slimy the entire month. But Advecta had no reactions (some of our dogs are extremely sensitive) and it absorbed fast. There was no scent to it. If you have a question, feel free to ask.

It really worked!!!!!!
This works!!! I was on the verge of a flea infestation thus summer and was using a fibronil bases flea deterent. It just stopped working, so after some research online I discovered a way to get rid of them naturally. 1st. Give your cat a bath with dawn dish detergent. Yes I know crazy!!! It softenes the fleas outer shell and allows water to penetrate it, and they die. 2nd. A one to one mixture of baking soda and salt. Sprinkles everywhere, it dries up any larve and eggs. Also non toxic to to pets and children.. 3rd. Switch to this product!!!!! It worked immediately, i saw the fleas running anf jumping away from it on my 2 cats, there has been no irritation to them, they took to it very well and within 2 months of using it in combination with the other 2 steps, I'm flea free!!!!!!

DID NOT WORK!!!! *See Update*
UPDATE: I used this as a preventative instead of Advantage and also when my cat slipped outside and I found a few fleas on him. It worked for that. I think the reason it didn't work initially was bc they had a decent amount of fleas. So I guess I'd recommend this as a preventative but not to treat a moderate infestation. I wanted this to work. I'm all about saving $ and with 4 cats and a dog, buying Advantage would be pretty expensive. I figured if it has the same active ingredients, it has to work. I wouldn't say our flea issue was necessarily a really bad one. We haven't found them in the carpets and we aren't getting bitten but I keep finding them on the pets. I had high hopes for this product so i bought some for all of the cats and dog. I used Capstar tablets and a flea spray to get things under wraps before applying this. Both took care of the immediate issue but i would still find a few on them every day while waiting for this to arrive. I put it on everyone and a few days later I decided to try to use the flea comb to see if it was working. One of my cats had a bunch of fleas, worse than before! I gave her a second dose. 2 days later i saw fleas crawling on her right where I had put the medication! The dog still had a couple too. I gave him a second dose to no avail. It has made zero difference for us. None whatsoever. I never found any dead fleas after using this and I found the same amount of live fleas daily with combing them as I was before we used this. I'm very disappointed and now I can't use any other products for a few more weeks which means I had to give them all a dawn bath. Have you ever bathed a cat? Let me tell you, it's NOT FUN. I practically needed a blood transfusion when that was done. And I'm back to combing all of the pets out with a flea comb every day. I have 4 kids including a newborn. To say, I don't have time for this nonsense is an understatement. I wish I had purchased a different product.

Need To Use Every Three Weeks But They Are Effective
I have several cats of differing sizes so I use different flea products and this one is pretty good. It's easy to apply and as long as I put it in a spot they can't reach, there's no side effects (other than fleas jumping ship). It doesn't last very long; I'll see more fleas three days later but that's likely because I an indoor-outdoor cat who brings them in. I have one cat who is super-sensitive to fleas; he's good for about three weeks after treatment. He can handle the few fleas that spring up in between. I also spend some time in the evenings going over him with a flea comb and that helps, too. When he starts scratching, it's time for another treatment. So my recommendation would be to use the drops then monitor the cat. You may not get a full four weeks but it does provide relief for a while.
