In the company of another soul
Upon reading this book, I found myself constantly being called inside the thoughts and even the emotions of one who has found and applied himself to a task. Fed has done something worth experiencing even if it's only vicariously to begin with. The more I traveled through his life here, the more drops of water landed on a little seed inside myself and I was thrilled to start experiencing a growth I never knew there was room for. Mature beyond his years? not really, well not at first anyway. At first, perhaps he was like all of us, young and silly enough to expect the path of least resistance should be a gimmy. But Fed was different. Fed started like all of us, looking outside at automatic answers, but then, then he turned it all around. He started looking inside himself. He stopped trying to impress and instead concentrated on growing the one thing that he was born with. His own seed of talent. We are all born with something and we can all do this. The way it's done is unique to each. BUT it's an inside job, never an outside one. Thanks Fed, thanks for being an object lesson. Thanks Mark, thanks for sharing and expressing it all, just l so we can receive it, for what ever reasons we need to. The one thing that impressed me the most about the growth of Roger Federer is the fact that he placed a high value on his journey. It was never a cheap trip to get where he has. He never sold himself to anything or anyone for any reason. He still holds on to his growth and maturity with the highest respect because, he traveled inside it far enough to meet its value, face to face. He is ONE with his seed of talent because THEY spent so much time together. And yet, for all the work and hours and mental reasoning, he is still a happy go luck gentleman. That's the road of thought this book took me down and I sincerely appreciated it all.

Good writing & analysis; poor editing
Fantasic read for any Federer fan. It's definitely tiding me over this 2016 season =(. As good as the writing is - the analysis and anecdotes as well - the editing is a bit sloppy. (That's the only reason for not reaching 5 stars.) Multiple typos and errors... there's even an incomplete sentence before the next chapter begins. The infographics and photography, however, are quite stunning. It could easily be a coffee-table-sized book for that reason alone, but I love that it's a convenient travel size, considering it's a hardcover.Still, it's a really good buy for any Federer/tennis fan.

The best Fed book out there
As a Fed fanatic, I've read them all. This one is the best. This provides a thorough personal and professional history, and a nice look at why Roger has stood as the 2nd most trusted person on the planet (after Nelson Mandela). Although the stats get a little out of control, the graphical presentation of the stats make most of them very ingestible.

Good read - nothing personal in the book
Good read - nothing personal in the book, more about the technical elements of Roger's game/success. I'd like to read a personal bio which I hope one day Roger write himself!

My husband loved it!
He couldn’t thank me enough for getting this book for him-he didn’t even know it existed! As a major Federer fan, he was able to learn even more about what an elite athlete Federer is and what it took to get there.

Loved the photographs and statistics that explain how Roger Federer beats so many of his opponents.
I loved this book. If you enjoy knowing everything possible about Roger Federer's Tennis game I would recommend this book. The statistics are wonderful and you will gain a better understanding of all of the training that goes into being a champion.

Splendid statistical type analysis, in delightfully approachable and colourful style, of the Great Man's career - SO FAR!
Splendid analysis of the game of the "GOAT" (greatest player of all time) with plenty of diagrams, stats, images etc. Delighted to have this handsome book. But unfortunate in a way it was published before his return after 6 months off due to an injury issue. He returned to win his 18th Major and 2 of the 3 ensuing important tournaments he entered... I hope the writer will do a sequel when Federer finally retires.Maybe the writer would do the same for "The King of Clay" Rafael Nadal, who also returned like Federer to the Australian Open this year after a break for injury. He fought Federer for that AO final 2017 and then won the French Open, so has 15 Majors. And also perhaps the great Rod Laver? Those 3 are enough for me in this format, when it comes to who's the greatest!!

I love everything Federer
Fabulous book about a legend that is Roger Federer. Not got through it all yet, but well put together. The charts and analysis of his game is awesome. It details also about the human being that is Roger. He is a true champ, a humble person and a great family man. Awesome.

This is a really good book and well presented. May need another minor update when Federer finishes his career but it’s worth it.
