Eco Chic L.A. Natural Styling Gel (6.8 Oz, 2-Pack)

I was searching for a new product to use for my curls, especially in this heat! My old product, Twist by Ouidad, no longer sells the light hold gel that I loved. This product was affordable AND feels amazing on my curls. I usually put a small drop on my hand and mix with a little water to lighten the amount of hold I want. It smells subtle but nice and clean, I even smelled it the next day after a full night of sleeping with my curls up. I only needed to dampen my curls a bit with some water in my hands to reactivate it, but I also added a tiny bit more for a fresher look and to tame any frizz I had. The hold is wonderful for the humidity, and I like that I can easily use a little more water to lighten the hold. Overall it is easy to use/portion, and performs well. I didn't get a good enough photo because I'm at work right now, but I HAD to review this from how happy I was. It also added some volume to my hair and didn't weigh down any of my curls and no stickiness!!

My first year after discovering the Curly Girl Method was a lot of trial and error. I learned pretty quickly that what works for someone else doesn’t automatically work for my baby-fine, weightless wavy hair. I tried quite a few gels before landing on this one. GIOVANNI L.A. gel is the one that finally worked for me. It gives enough hold to keep my waves in place, but it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky. It does create a cast, which I scrunch out once my hair is dry, and then my waves look soft and defined. It’s also affordable, which matters after spending a small fortune “experimenting.”

My daughter has very curly hair in the front but more straight in the back. She loves to wear her hair up, but by the end of the day she has so many fly aways and curls going everywhere it just looked out of control. I came across this gel and decided to give it a try. This has been the best gel for her hair and we've tried a lot! It keeps her hair controlled, its easy to manage, smells good and doesn't leave her hair feeling rough. It give her hair a nice clean look which lasts all day. Even at the end of the day, her hair doesn't feel crunchy or gross. Can not recommend it enough!

Curly girl here! I wanted to love this. I make my own flaxseed gel and wanted something that would travel well since flaxseed gel has a short shelf life. I used this gel a few different ways before leaving the review. I have 3b/3c hair (see @1sic4itchic on Instagram). I love to get a good hard cast to scrunch out the crunch and get bouncy definition. Think eco or wetline. It's not as strong as those but does give a good cast that you can work with. Here were my experiences: Mixed with leave-in condish - no good on day 2 curls. My hair was a thick frizzy mess. I did this method with different leave ins. Each time I got the same result. Mixed with oil - again, sticky residue on my curls the next day. Stand alone/just gel and water - sticky residue the next day. Killed the body it had on day one and I got frizz. It's odd. It doesn't look dull but my curls didn't bounce with this gel. It's not sticky like tape. It's the kind of sticky you get from product buildup but you get this on day 1. I sleep in a satin bonnet, on satin sheets, under a satin comforter. I am that committed. Lol!! Jk. It's got great ingredients, smells light and is affordable. Try it. It may work for you.

I've been using this gel for years when I do a wet set with snap rollers. I love it, and the results are great. The curls are beautiful and last for days. My hair is never stiff or crunchy (it's actually pretty soft), and I've never experienced flakiness with this product. Other than making my curls last longer, I can't even tell I'm wearing this gel. I'll definitely continue to purchase this.

Adoro questo gel. Perfetto per chi ha i capelli molto ricci e cerca un prodotto che crei definizione e che faccia durare lo styling. Potrebbe esserci la necessità di usare un leave-in idratante prima dell’ultizzo del gel.

I love the fact the product is more natural than most…it does add body, but does not hold my hair.

I like this gel but I use it more like a finishing serum on top of other gels. Used on it's own it has a strange artifical effect on my hair but the hold is hard. Reduces frizz.

I have curly hair and have been looking for a light weight but sulfate free gel for quite some time. I use this after my curl creams and before I diffuse. This is perfect and I will be repurchasing again.
