From the age of 15, studying the beautiful artwork on the covers of Duran Duran albums and seeing the same phrase “Assorted.. ...images”, I knew I wanted to be a Graphic Designer. The lush pop escapism that Duran Duran offered through their music extended into every artistic facet of their image, from fashion, to videos, and especially their poster and album artwork. Andrew Golub has amassed a lifetime’s passion of poster collection and distilled it down into this gorgeous book.As both a devotee of the band’s career and someone with a passion (and now career) in Graphic Design, this book is providing me hours of wonderful insight and nostalgia, as well as educating and surprising me with details I never knew about and pieces of artwork I’ve never laid eyes on. The posters show an impressive history of the band’s image, along with anecdotes and trivia about where the band was at the time of each poster, or some of the creative choices that went into the artwork. It’s a formidable, hefty book. From the moment I felt the weight of the book in my hands I knew I was in store for a treat.I cannot recommend this book enough if you are interested in the art stylings of Duran Duran and can appreciate all the care and attention that went into cataloguing and preserving the band’s promotional artwork.

I ordered this book feeling it will make up for missing out on owning a copy of the first edition print. Well, this version holds up very well on its own and I feel I have a far superior edition than I could have expected.Once this book was received, the experience begins with unpackaging itself. An elegant bookcase encases this magnificent book edition. Then you savor each word and image along with the spectacular vivid colors that pop out of the pages.You will be taken virtually hand in hand through Duran Duran's earliest 1979 advertisements all the way to artwork creations of 2019. For those keeping score, that is an impressive 40 years that Durandy lovingly has curated and shared with us along with amusing back stories and surprise contributors that add to the excitement of Duran Duran's history.Holding this book means that I will and must wear gloves in order to keep the strikingly delightful elegant collection in as pristine condition as possible. It is a masterpiece of colorful beauty and deservingly represents the iconic band's artistic diversity beyong what their music has already established all of these decades.Durandy has done it again. He's been able to take my breath away and make my heart skip a beat by each turn of the pages. A true Duranie, since that's the exact effect I have listening to Duran Duran.Let's patiently step out into the future and await the thrills that post 2020 Duran Duran experiences will create. I know Durandy will dilligently collect them as well for the enjoyment of our generations of Duranies tribe families and friends alike.

As soon as I saw this book on Facebook, I immediately ordered it and anticipated it's arrival. I was not disappointed! As a life-long Duran Duran fan (raising a 2nd generation fan), I loved every image and every word. The historical detail was fascinating, and the collection was impressive. I highly recommend this book to any Duran Duran fan who wants to walk through their history and relive the memories. It is a cherished item in my Duran Duran library and collection. Great job Durandy!!!

Andy's archive is loving collected, taken care of, and shown to fans from all over the world and it's reflected in the photos of the posters and stories in this second edition of the book. The posters are fascinating to look at, viewing Duran Duran's history through the visual medium they are so well known for and the insights from the band are captivating.The addition of the chapter on Paper Gods, including 150 new images, and the very special afterward make this a coveted coffee table book for any fan of Duran Duran.

This book is a journey through the bands carear as well as my journey as a fan. Outstanding ,beautifull packaging, great quality paper and inside captures the band history with wonderful poster photos . Highly recommended. Thank you Andrew for the great job you have done .This book of art is a masterpiece. Proud to have it on my vast Duran Duran collection.

It is, for any long time duranie like myself, quite an emotional walk through beautiful memories; those are ever so precious moments of happiness, some I didn't even recall until I looked at the book images and they came back to me.Andy, you did such a great job creating this book, as I turn the pages I am taken back to beautiful memories, beautiful feelings and beautiful colours indeed.Izzy x
