in love
wow. i love this little mp3 player so much!! its very lightweight, which is very convinient and easy to carry around. the sound quality is great, and the buttons are very easy to use and works very well without much needed force. the shuffle feature took me a bit of time to learn, because the double click needs to be slower, instead of fast rapid clicks. that's my bad, however. the stickers/decals/case it came with was the cherry on the top. if you want a light, inexpensive, and aesthetic mp3 player, this is the best bet.

Fun little player
The media could not be loaded. Ordered this on a nostalgic whim and it didn't disappoint.... Got over 1000 songs on it and used up little over 7 gb. Sound quality is surprisingly good.... Instructions are easy to understand and if people would actually read them first, they wouldn't have a problem finding the buttons. I plan on poking a hole in the side of the casette case to accommodate for the speaker or headphones, since the buttons are a bit sensitive. It's not a fancy thing, has no display or touch screen, and that's just fine with me. Had no problem loading my songs, just drag and drop. Would make a great gift for your retro friends and family. Amazon says I could mention flavor, too. Well, I haven't gnawed on it yet, nor do I plan to.... If you leave it laying around and you have a toddler or dog, they might give you an opinion on flavor, but be prepared to replace it, after their taste test. I doubt it will survive. Heck, just buy two, then you won't have to wait.... Love the little stickers for the tape facing, nice to have a choice. It was well packaged and shipped quick.... Don't know yet how long the battery will last, since I fired it up just today, but it did charge quickly straight out of the box. And, please, read the instructions!!!

Retro is back
This was a gift to myself. I love the look and feel of this device. Sure it only had 8GB but it's enough to keep you entertained for a few days. If you could expand the memory with an SD card, this device would be a home run. There is no display but I think that is a plus. The battery is decent. It's funny when you have to explain what it is to this new generation.

Great looking but will stop working
Easy to add songs. The UI is a little funky. Worked great until one day it just stopped working. Wouldn't turn on. Wouldn't charge. Didn't show up when plugged into a computer.I was able to get it working again by taking it apart and disconnecting the battery with a soldering iron. I then put the battery on a bench power supply set to 4.2V. Then I reconnected the battery and the player works again! It looks like the battery protection circuit on the battery pack was triggered. Not sure how long this fix will last. May need to get a new battery.

Bad Buy
This Cassette MP3 player is great in looks. Okay in sound. But overall sucks. It was a rushed product, not ready for distribution. It played music for a total of 30 minutes before it died entirely and wouldn't even charge. This was after giving it a full charge. Incredibly disappointing. Sometimes there's more to a device than it's design. Quality counts.

Cool look not so much in person.
This is a cool ideal. The price was right at 25 bucks. It’s an 8gb flash drive really that is shaped as a cassette. I thought I found the perfect gift for some people in my life who like that 80s retro vibe. The problem was the picture of the MP3 player that shows functions..well in person those function buttons were not present. Yes it had the one red button but the volume control , forward, and back button are not there. I got an email from the company saying that those are stickers you place on the MP3 player. Problem is the instructions they send show those buttons are functional buttons. I think I may have gotten something lost in translation or maybe they do have buttons on the new line of MP3 players just not on the old version. Either way I returned them. Hopefully they can get their act together. The ideal is solid. Execution not so much. Update. The company got back to me. Apparently everything is touch and you need to place the stickers on the cassette. So that is my fault. To be fair it’s not obvious and I didn’t open the sticker pack because I didn’t see the need too after looking at the product. They said they are sending me one to try for free. I will update this review to 4 stars for the customer service alone.

Expandable with MicroSD Card
Listened to single albums when I got it and it sounded good enough. I’m using crappy earphone in a noisy office so I’m not really looking for quality to begin with. Today I decided to take out the five screws just to check out the inside and to my surprise the memory is just a single micro SD card. I pressed it and sure enough the SD card popped out. I swapped in FAT32 formatted 32GB card and put a few albums in the root folder….worked PERFECTLY! Not sure what the max is but 32GB is more then enough for a randomized player...actually the 8GB is too.My unit shipped with a “KM-Card” branded 8gb card. I doubt it is a quality and card so my card is a quality and storage upgrade. Just have to back out the 5 screws, lift off the “A” side”. Take note of the red power button up/down orientation and put it aside. Plug in your earphone and gently lift the pcb until you can press the SD card. Be careful not to pull on the two battery wires as it’s taped down. Now as for the player itself, the touch sensor buttons are way too sensitive. I always find myself pressing buttons accidentally.

If it works it's probably decent; if not, good luck.
Was not recognized by my PC. Could see it on my phone but the hoops to jump through to get MP4s on it off my phone made it not worth. Also the instructions / support were non existent. So once I had issues it was a real come to Jesus and figure it out yourself moment.
