Came in a plastic bag that said General Electric Replacement Parts, which was comforting.The connectors on this new one with five rings are paddles instead of little curls on the original which had four rings, but if the connector paddles on the new one are bent out a little it connects and makes contact. Works ok and has a nice flat surface. Looks to be better contact than the original element which had an irregular surface and and had developed little pock marks on the heating rings. The original heating element still worked, but I didn't trust it.

I did not realize one of my burners was not the same as the others. I did realize it rocked the pots and pans that rested on top of it. I inspected it several times and could not figure out what the issue was and just never used it. I discovered that the other burners were this brand or same logo in the center of it and it fixed the rocking pots and pans.

Item replaced a 20 year old burner. Heats quickly and has been trouble free in the two plus months owned. Fit smoothly and lies flat. Initial use had a little bit of burn off, but nothing since.
