I bought this so I can easily mute my video & mic on zoom calls. Works great as long as your Zoom window is the ACTIVE window. If you are controlling another window and press these buttons it does not mute or unmute your zoom.I repeat...ONLY works when your zoom window is the active window. Keep that in mind when you buy.

I plugged it in and it lit up. But no matter what I did, what settings I changed (including global sound shortcuts), nothing worked. Support and documentation is also nonexistent.

This is a must-have if you spend a lot of time in Zoom meetings. Plug it in, put it somewhere handy, then hit the Mute or Video button at any time to turn things on and off while you are half-paying attention doing other stuff.Contrary to a bunch of reviews, this DOES WORK GLOBALLY even when the Zoom window is not in focus. TO ENABLE THIS, you must visit your Zoom Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts and enable the "Mute/Unmute My Audio" (Shift-Cmd-A) in the "Enable Global Shortcut" column. Note that you can start/stop audio even without this device via that shortcut. I'm sure this device simply emits that keystroke combination. There is an equivalent setting for Start/Stop Video.The only down side is that it is NOT reprogrammable in any way that I've found, so I can't make it work for other conferencing programs. :-(

I think, in overall, the product is good, it does what it intends to do, looks good and is made out of good material. However there is one usability issue in my opinion: When i am in a zoom meeting, I click on different apps and do my work while the meeting is running, and since Zoom isn't the active app once I click out of it, the mute and camera buttons don't work. I need to click back into the zoom screen and then use the buttons, which at that point, I could just click on the mute button in the zoom screen anyways. I don't think that its necessarily this product's fault and idk if they can even do anything about it, but it's a major issue for the usability of it for my use case.

It worked for Zoom but my next meeting was over GoToMeeting and it didn't work. Maybe there are settings within GoToMeeting but I didn't have time during the meeting to experiment. I will try another brand and maybe it will work with not only Zoom but other meetings as well.

This was a nice concept but the product does NOT work. It came with no instructions and does not work by just plugging in to the machine. There was no contact card so I couldn’t even reach out to the company to get their help.

Q & A says this only works on Zoom. I must use the platform chosen by my clients : Zoom, Web Ex or Teams . Also my product appeared to be previously returned and then sent to me. The packaging was tattered and there was no instructions. Returned.

This is the best thing ever! I saw an ad for a device that just handles muting, but did a search and found this. So glad I did because it handles your cam view too. Plus it was cheaper! Worked as soon as I plugged it in and went through two setup screens (don't need to download or install anything). As pointed out in other reviews, you can change the settings in zoom to make it work even if you're working on something else and have zoom in the background. It's a zoom setting, not something you have to set for this device. There's a windows and Mac version so make sure you get the right one.
