If you have not read any of this man's books you are seriously missing out. My husband had to read a couple of his books for an MBA class and he hates reading novels so he turned it over to me to give him the basic points of the book. The books were so good he even read them and so I bought this for him for christmas. You learn so much from these books; there's so much you can apply directly to your own workplace and life in general. So glad I bought this.

J'ai acheté ce livre après avoir lu "Le But" (The Goal), en espérant d'y trouver un guide pratique sur l'implémentation de la théorie des contraintes. Grave erreur ! Ce livre n'est plus qu'une publicité pour "Le But" et un pitch pour les prestations de Mr Goldratt en tant que consultant. De ce fait, malgré certains éclairages intéressants, ce livre ne dit finalement pas comment la TOC "should be implemented" sur un plan pratique.Je n'ai rien contre la démarche d'avant-vente, je pense tout simplement que c'est à l'intéressé de la payer, et pas au client. Non ?

As if you are looking at the behind the scene of his books, you will be able to understand the essence of TOC. This book is to give you the overview of his theory so that readers can get the big picture of it. IMHO, it is better to open this book after you've gone through his The Goal at least, but it's not a prerequisite.
