will the magnetic back ruin my credit cards?

It did ruin 5-6 hotel room keys in a row. It took me a little while to figure this out. Once I started storing the room key in a separate pocket, they stopped dying. It seems that credit card magnetic strips are a little more robust. I've never had a credit card go bad in this wallet.
