very easy to operate. the budget price range for the quality unit is good. small countertop footprint if left out. i did how ever plugged it into a kill switch so it's not always on stand by. had a brain freeze moment operations issue and reached out to manufacturer customer service regarding warranty and received lightening prompt response. my situation was an overlooked duh... (not as stupid as "is it powered on?" but pretty close, ha ha ha) and not replacement but that definitely indicates they are on top of things with their products.

Saw this on 3 different YouTube cooking channels... they happened to use this model. They were all about cooking but watching each chef use this vacuum sealer made the process look easy. So I took a chance on it and sure enough it worked like a champ! I cut 16 ribeye steaks from a whole ribeye from Costco.... sealed them all... and I put double seals at each end of the bags for a little extra protection. I did register for the 5 year warranty. Hopefully I will never need it. I only used it one time and it was great! If I have any issues in the future I will for sure post back an edit. Nice machine... I like it!

Don’t waste your money on the namebrand, this thing works amazing and is a great price! Super straightforward and easy to use, I love that it stores the roll of bags inside and has the built in cutter. Did an amazing job when we vacuum sealed some meat that was on sale around the holidays.

I purchased the Potane vacuum sealer originally May 30, 2022. I read tons of reviews on different brands, models, etc. I finally decided on this model because of the five-year warranty, the suction power, the wet/dry setting, and the canning attachment. Since getting the unit, I used it 2-3 times a day for everything from sealing chip bags, sealing cheese, keeping coffee fresh, freezing meats, and meal prepping. I literally use it all the time. The maintenance has been minimal apart from cleaning the gaskets and wiping down the machine a few times a week or after liquid spills. It has been amazing for all my kitchen needs. It’s also easier to use - much easier to lock the lid and clean than my friend’s Food Saver! In February 2025, the heat sealer starting to malfunction and wouldn’t switch on in Automatic mode. In March 2025, the heat sealer failed completely, and the vacuum was not pulling despite cleaning all the gaskets. I reached out to Potane through their website. They replied back not even 24 hours later, despite it being a weekend. They helped me troubleshoot, and after we ruled everything out, they quickly offered to send me a replacement unit under warranty. I was shocked when a new unit arrived not even a day later! I was all prepared to freeze my ground beef the old way using zipper bags lol. I cannot say enough good things about the company and the vacuum sealer. The new unit is covered under the original warranty, and if it eventually wears out (which is reasonable since I use this thing literally all the time), I won’t hesitate to buy another vacuum sealer from Potane!

I enjoy using this item for sealing foods although I noticed after some use, the vacuum system doesn't do as well as it started out doing. They provide another gasket to replace the original but it would only be good for another few seals and then what! It is worth the money and seals well.

If I didn't already have one, I'd buy it again! Had a very satisfactory Foodsaver unit for years but now not available. Thought I'd try Potane, it's perfect! Small and easy to store, easy to use, great vacuum + feature my Foodsaver didn't have. On one setting you can regulate the vacuum pressure manually, perfect for things you don't want to mash flat, ie bread, cookies, etc.

Potane produces a great product with the fore thought of spare parts for areas that wear quicker. They reach out to CV Rick in your satisfaction and provide great customer service when required. We will continue to do business with this company. The vacuum machine is also easy to use with quick and easy directions.

I bought this product and didn't test it immediately unfortunately. It doesn't even switch on due to the difference in voltage between Australia and the United States.

I don't get the positive reviews on this thing. It's not very strong, the liquid reservoir isn't removable so it's a mess if you have wet food or marinades, sometimes it's a pain to get a seal. Way over priced.
