Very nice floor lamp. Easy to put together and very sturdy. There had been some concern from others that the floor lamp could not be plugged into a switchable outlet but this is not true. Also, it has four brightness settings adjusted by just a touch on the on/off icon on the pole. If you set it to s certain illumination, it will retain that same brightness memory when switched back on via light switch that has a corresponding switchable outlet. The light gets slightly warm during operation.....but you can easily put your hand on top of the lit face plate .....and it will be just slightly warm to the touch, nothing like the halogen light we had before. My intent was to replace the HOT halogen lamp (it actually made the room hot after a few minutes of operation) we had with an energy saving LED light that was bright, dimmable and NOT HOT!! This light meets and surpasses all three of those requirements.

This is my first LED lamp, and I am super impressed with it. I thought that it might be a little off putting to have the flat-disk torch head, but it's actually kind of cool, and I don't find myself getting blinded whenever I walk into the room or anything like that. It does pivot, but that's not necessary for me so I always just keep it flat.When I bought it I wasn't aware that the button to turn the lamp on was touch sensitive, so rather than pressing it you just sort of tap to turn it on or off, and that's a neat little addition. There are 3 different brightness settings, and I find each of them suitable for the various times I need them. The low light is especially nice for watching movies when you don't want to be completely in the dark. The highest brightness is better than I thought it would be; it's like a softer daylight, like when the sun is just starting to set so you don't need sunglasses, but you could read a book without needing extra light.The construction is very sturdy and solid, and it's easy to put together. I had mine done in less than ten minutes. The base is a lot heavier than I thought it would be, so this lamp isn't getting knocked around any time soon.Overall, I highly recommend this lamp to anyone looking to get a a sleek looking LED lamp.

These lamps have been great overall. Work well, 3 brightness levels is nice, and they're very low profile; you almost don't notice them. However after 3 years of use, one just stopped working. The bulbs (a flat, unenclosed disk with multiple LEDs) does not appear to be replaceable, but 3 years is not metric for a quality lamp. Now that I know the bulbs are soldered on, it would be hard for me to recommend buying one if these; when the bulb goes the lamp goes?

Pretty decent lamp. It's bright, its aim is adjustable, and the switch is touch sensitive so there's no clicking. Assembly was easy and obvious. My only complaint is that it is illuminated along the edge of the top panel, rather than being 100% indirect. I wanted a fully indirect light more like traditional torchiere lamps that use lightbulbs. But I also wanted LED and so this may be the best of such available at this time.

I am reviewing this lamp after having bought my third one. All three are working well' I have kept coming back because I find this lamp a wonderful substitute for several lighting problems in my home. The design is minimalist, and certainly does not grab attention, which is fine with me. The recommendation not to use with a wall switch is as minor inconvenience for me; I find the switch on the lamp pole works well. But I am burying the lede here: this lamp is BRIGHT. I enjoyed halogen torch lamps when they were in vogue, and gave them up reluctantly. I have not found an adequate substitute until I tried this Brightech LED lamp. It easily illuminates my living room. In my large bedroom, it is really too bright, and I turn it down to a lower setting. The third lamp is going into my guest bedroom. Hurray for a floor torch lamp that uses very little electricity, does not have the fire hazard of halogen torches, and puts out a lovely bright light!

Had to pick up a new floor lamp to replace my 20+ year old halogen lamp. The one star off is because of the cord design. They could have made it so the cord went thru the base but for some reason they drilled a hole and stuck it out the side of the bottom pole near the base. Not a huge deal just kind of irksome. It also has a bulky adapter plug which my old lamp did not have.Update June 2023 - lamp is dead

Probably one of the best lamps I've ever bought. It's a true white light - which turned my previously dingy yellow looking dark cave of a studio - into a bright and lovely space. Completely changed the space. With this lamp you only really need one lamp for a large space. It reflects off the ceiling. It's a sleek / modern / pretty design and it's also surprisingly light so I didn't have to lug around a heavy box to get it up to my apartment. Also it's relatively inexpensive compared to some halogen lamps I've bought in the past - for how good this product is. Def getting your bang for your buck here.Only slightly negative comment I have for the product team - is that I'd recommend the light settings go in reverse - from soft to intense. Otherwise going from off to all of a sudden high can be jarring sometimes since this lamp is so powerful.
