Heavy duty handle
Good solid handle, great fit for my hatchet head but my handle was rough like it was not finished sanded before stained and shipped.

Actually a well made handle for a quality system.
The handle is well made, of mostly straight grain, and fits well. Any of the grain that is not quite in line with the handle is at the grip so it does not impact strength and durability. It fits my Klax Feller very well and the design is fairly well thought out. The grip of the handle is very thick and a bit overwhelming. It probably could be slightly thinner for a firmer, more complete grasp. I'm satisfied with the products but would choose other alternatives to the Klax and handle if I had thought more about the purpose and usage. The system is very well made, a bit expensive, bulky, and has limited application. It would go very well in a day hiker's bag, camper, bug out bag component, or a motorcycle or bike bag. Not something I would necessarily carry if I needed it quickly or was limited on space and weight.

Solid piece of wood, does the job!

Loosens after on hit
I found that this item loosens after one hit and after several hits it's very loose. I tried over a three day camping trip to make this and the assoiated axe head work but couldn't get past the fact that I feel it's UNSAFE. Looks good on paper and in a picture on amazon but fails to meet expectations.

Nice fit and finish. Axe locks up well, with little adjustment required.
