ALDO Women's Greenwald Crossbody Bag

This purse is gorgeous!!! It looks so expensive and it’s just utterly stunning in person. This bag is really sturdy and extremely heavy. This is not the purse to carry around all day at a theme park or a festival, trust me. It’s probably the heaviest purse I’ve ever owned, but it soooo pretty I don’t care. It’s very stiff so it’s going to keep its shape. It’s deceiving a bit because it looks large, but the interior is rather slim in comparison. It has two main compartments, a zip compartment on the back wall and two slots on the front wall. I have an iPhone 8 Plus and I can’t have my phone in either of those slots because it’s too tall and the flap won’t close. The chain is very heavy duty and can get twisted if you’re not careful. It takes a bit of getting used to. My main issue is that the magnetic closure isn’t very strong and you have to be right on the money with the snap otherwise it will not stay closed. Even then it pops up a lot. I don’t know if mine is defective, But I might have to exchange it which I really dont want to do. I love the length of the chain. I’m the kind of person that likes my bags to hang a bit lower, but if you like your bag to hit at the waist, this isn’t going to be the bag for you. On me it falls just below my hip bone (I’m 5’6). All in all, it’s a stuuuunnning bag and I’m so glad I bought it. I’m going to absolutely grab a few more colors. For the price, it’s kind of a steal. It looks so luxe. It’s one of the nicest bags I have at this price point. Highly recommend.

I was pleasant.yl surprised to find that this bag is actually kind of heavy for what I expected, as it shows the quality of the hardware (so often this stuff can be kinda flimsy, but not with this bag). It is also very well structured, and the angled quilt-style stitching is even and very good quality. I got mine on a surprise lightning deal for 21.99, and I almost feel like I stole it! The beige color is pretty much seasonless, and the chain bling isn't ostentatious. The medium size is very roomy, and will expand to comfortably hold everything I usually carry, with room to spare. I looks dressy enough to carry as a clutch but looks great as a shoulder bag/crossbody. I'd like to have this in more than one color--the black on black looks enticing, or maybe one of the tweed options. The vegan leather feels great. I don't know why several buyers complained about the "noise"--it's a nice bag, and chains do clink. Seems like a minor complaint to me. I'll be pairing this with some of my holiday outfits. Cheers!

This bag is really cute and well-made, but the chain strap is extremely heavy. Still a nice crossbody overall, just heavier than expected.

I bought this original purse from the Aldo store years ago when it first came out. This is definitely not the same ‘exact’ purse, looks like it though. The quality is different. My original Aldo is HEAVY & the leather is thick. The one I bought from Amazon is light & not as thick at all. I also got the same size but I feel like this one is smaller. Maybe Aldo has changed the quality & material over the years. My original Greenwald held up for YEARS before wear & tear, this one doesn’t seem like it’ll last as long.

First, I'm all about quality purses. My purse collection consists of ONLY Louis Vuitton. So, I wear my LV bags on a daily except when it's raining. I was looking for a simple crossbody bag so I googled and came across the Aldo Greenwald but on a different merchant website. I placed an order on their website and I assume it was out of stock because it was canceled twice. So, I did a search and amazon had it for $20 cheaper. I decided to purchase it through Amazon and it was delivered the same day and within a few hours. The bag is gorgeous but simple. I'm actually wearing it more than my LV bags because they're on the bigger side and the Greenwald is more convenient. A lot of reviewers are complaining about the chain being heavy, but it doesn't feel heavy to me. My only semi complaint is that I think the chain could be longer. I'm 5'7 and it sits a directly on the waist. It doesn't look or feel cheap. I've received multiple compliments on the bag. It reminds be of the Tory Burch Fleming purse that I've been eyeing, but I didn't want to invest $600 on a contemporary designer bag, as their lifetime warranty isn't compatible to luxury designer warranties such as LV. So, this is a great dupe for the Fleming if you're eyeing that bag as well. Overall, it's a nice quality bag for the price point of $55.
