The spring keeps some of the pack bait lodged inside which keeps the fishes attention till they see the hooked bait. I've used several of them multiple times and I've had none of the problems mentioned in other reviews.

1st pack purchased never arrived second pack arrived in 2 days and looks pretty good. One came disassembled in the package but they're pretty simply put together. Will say if they come disassembled in the package I'm not sure how long they'll hold up look like decent methods feel better made than ngt methods we'll see how they hold up but as of now i recommend buying these methods. Will update if my thoughts change

Nice weight and decently made. The weak spot is the insert and spring. They are not so secure and will fall out once you get a bite. I wound up gluing it. Also they are a tad too wide for me. Which they were a bit smaller.

Needs to be more sturdy, center piece holding in spring breaks after using it a few times.

Caught a 20+ lb. carp with this feeder. It is much better quality than the one I bought from the a local bait and tackle shop. Recommended.
