What is the difference between the lite and ultra of this product? Is it for different fabrics or is the strength of the bond different?

The Lite is a sew-in adhesive and the Ultra is a no-sew adhesive. There is no difference in strength as both are permanent.

Would this work well to keep a ribbed knit button down shirt from gapping at the chest? (Really hate using pins)

Depends upon what's causing the gap. It probably would but it would be a pull over instead of button down then. If it does pull back apart after you wear it you can always use the iron to completely remove and reapply new again.

Can this be used like a stretch fabric iron-patch for a snag in gym leggings? If not, is there a product that would?

You will need to make a patch out of similar fabric to your gym leggings as this is a double sided permanent adhesive. We recommend pretesting the adhesive.

Will this adhere to nylon?

It hasn't been tested with nylon, so we recommend pretesting the Soft Stretch Ultra with nylon.
