Great mower - reliable
Great Lawnmower - this is my 3rd Flymo. Light weight , decent sized motor and easy to operate and stores folded.

Appears poorly made
Initial Notes: Box was damaged on delivery and on inspection some minor scuffing to side of mower casing.....only minor and it will get a few more kocks when in use. Seems quite 'flimsy'; no 'solid' feel like our previous Flymo's had. This may be necessary to prevent vibration damage so a more 'flexible' type of material has been used. Assembly: Be careful when attaching cable 'winding hooks' as the arm is very weak and crushes easily as you rotate the hooks to tighten and align them. This can cause a crease (or bulge) that will weaken the arm and may lead to it splitting. I noticed this happening before any permanent damage had been done. It would be better if Flymo had prevented the tread going to far along the length of the bolt so that the tubular arm could not be crushed; or at least supplied a short restrictor tube to slip over the thread to prevent over-tightening. Using: A fair bit nosier than our 3 year-old Flymo Ultraglide and feels less 'robust'. Cuts well but we prefer our 'Ultraglide'. Easy to empy and clean though. We were going to give our old one to our daughter for her garden but I think we'll give her this one and continue with our Ultraglide until Flymo bring out a good replacement for it.

Delivered ready assembled, easy and light to use.
Delivered the following day by Amazon. It was ready to use straight out of the box, apart from attaching a few clips. Mowed the lawn really well, easy and light to use. Includes a 2 year warranty.

A reliable and easy to use lawn mower
A great lawn mower and I've used Flymo's for many years. A good buy!

It does a job, just not a good one
Bought to replace a Flymo HC350 about 15yrs old. Delivery and assembly - no issues. This mower is nowhere near as sturdy as the old one. The plastic is thinner, probably thermoplastic so it can be recycled. The blade is thinner than the old one, and the parts are not interchangeable as they have been previously (I have, and have had, a number of Flymos and blades and spacers have always fitted all mowers). The grass box doesn't just 'drop in' it needs a bit of attention to fit it. The 'Vision' part of the grass box isn't removable and inherently 'wet' grass sticks to it. It don't suppose it will be too long before it's pretty useless. I'd like to hear from Husqvarna how one is supposed to keep it clean. No doubt a soft cloth and mild detergent (haha). It floats quite well but the big grass box hold a lot of grass (weight) which IMO affects the glide. When full, the grass box doesn't empty too easily, the grass doesn't fall out, it need to be shaken or pulled out. I have only used it once, however, I don't think it picks up grass as well as my previous one. Grass was left on my lawn where it was longer, using 2 spacers. Cleaning underneath is no more difficult than before except that the flimsy plastic lid seems likely to get damaged if you turn the mower upside down. 10m cable is a joke. Immediately cut off solid state plug and connected additional cable (from old mower). I was surprised at the price. £134.00 didn't seem to have increased for the £70.00-80.00 I paid 15 or so years ago. Dissappointed in the quality and effectiveness, but then. Would I buy this again? Probably since I prefer the way the handle folds and the 360mm width. Footnote. My HC350 motor burnt out. I tried replacing the carbon brushes but no luck. I tried to find a spare motor, but seemingly the one I needed (£90.00ish for a motor) was not available. The moral is, look after your old stuff, cos the new stuff just can't cut the mustard in the same way. Update...after 6 weeks this mower started emitting black soot. I spoke to Husquvarna (Flymo) who said it was a motor fault and would refund the money. They arranged for DPD to collect it and return it to Amazon. Currently waiting for DPD to collect it. In the meantime I bought a wheeled Powerbase mower and I am amazed at how much better it is.

It still cuts the grass
This is the third Flymo hover mower I have bought in ten years. The first lasted 6 years and cost approx £60. the second cost £80 and lasted 4 years. Both failed for the same reason - a collapsed main bearing. I guess the main reason most of them fail. I suspect I would fail eventually if I was whizzing around at 4000 rpm for 6 years. The reason I started buying a hover mower was because I have an extremely "inclined" lawn and find them much easier to use than any wheeled or even powered wheeled mowers. Before purchasing the last mower I did read some reviews which surprised me. " The grass bin did not fit and I had to fiddle with it to get it to seat properly" - "It was difficult to empty the grass bin" - "It did not pick up all the grass and put it in the bin" - "The spanner/scraper cannot be housed in the mower any more" I thought these were rather trivial complaints, however, as you can guess, my new mower had similar problems. The grass bin did nit fit properly and required fiddling about to seat properly and even worse the lid did not fit properly and after two mowings has begun to split. However it still cuts the grass as well as the previous two machines. This model cost me £120 and I have yet to see how long the main bearing will last. If it is of the same quality and build as some of the other components I do not hold out a lot of hope it will last even 4 years. Even at £120 this model is relatively cheap compared with others so I guess you get what you pay for. I cannot understand why they cannot house the spanner in the machine anymore. I now do spend a lot of time remembering where I left it. It would appear the engineering and quality control has gone down hill.

Elkontakten är sådan som används i England. Behövs adapter för att ansluta i Sverige:-(

I had an earlier version of this model; the only reason I replaced it was because it was irreparably damaged by two different idiots. I find it very satisfactory and would gladly recommend it. Unfortunately, the new blade which I had bought just before the final 'Wrecking' of the previous model will not fit in the latest model ( because the 'locking pins' are no longer circular- a reasonable improvement).
