VULCAN Wireless LED Towing and Trailer Light Kit For Trucks, Trailers, RVs, SUVs, and Boats

The lights are great. No problems at all with the remote transmitter. Syncs right away - works on either 7 pin or 4 pin. The magnets seem strong enough - the are mounted on the back of my SUV (that I am flat towing) and I tied some string from them and routed the string under the rear window to a tie down in the back just in case they came loose and it never looked like they did. From a full charge, after a recent 6 hour tow during the day the batteries were still showing full. A few days later, without recharging, I drove another 7 hours, of which 4 were with the lights on. At the end of the drive they were still working and showing 1/4 power. The included 12V USB charger and microUSB pigtail charges both lights at once. The micro USB pigtail is on the short side, but overall it does it good job of quickly charging the lights back to full strength. I have a 12V socket in the back of my SUV, so when I unhook my SUV, I just put the lights in the rear and plug them it (if I remember). The LEDs seem bright. I didn't use the license plate lights since my plate is centered and recessed. The case is a really nice touch and is an area for improvement for the product - the lights must be detached from the mount and the mount must be detached from the base in order to store it. With some slight redesign of the foam, it could have easily been designed so that you just fold up the lights with the base attached and store them. Of course, if you take out the foam altogether everything fits but would be sliding around. I ended up cutting away some of the foam to customize my case, but it would have been an easy thing to have done during manufacturing. The last suggestion is to have a 12V pass through on the 7pin connection as that would give more installation/application options.

Operates great! Very easy to pair lights with my RV controls and operation is even better. LED lights are very bright and operate as designed. Wireless operation with transmitter works great. Only con so far is the included case is pretty cheap in material and storage lay out. Both of my case latches were broken off of the case and laying loose inside the shipping container when I first opened it and therefore the case cannot be closed securely. The foam layout material inside the case could be better designed to store the lights, etc. with the lights still fully assembled. You have to disassemble the lights from the magnetic base components to be able to store all components inside the case. I will not be using the case myself so it's no big deal to me.

Purchased and received quickly. Placed on charge immediately. I notice one of the two lights is permanently on, can't be turned off. Contacted Vulcan customer support by email, included photos of problem. With 30 minutes was notified replacement light assembly being sent. Great service. Although not in use at this time they work in static test just fine. Far better than having to hard wire my towed vehicle, cost effective as well.

All and all really cool idea. First time I used my cool new lights, the drivers side lamp fell off my boat fender in traffic, barely caught a glimpse of it sliding down my fender, before I could even react it was gone,, the car behind me had a way better view of it "SLIDING", directly under his front tire. I stopped and picked up the ruble. Low and behold an officer saw the whole thing. For the next fifteen minutes I was talking my way out of and unsecured load ticket. Saying it was my fault, and if it caused an accident I was liable. So unless you would like a huge mark on u our record, or don't mind paying for somebody else's shady product. Then I would strongly advise NOT purchasing this product. They are to heavy for the tiny assed magnets.

The lights themselves are pretty cool and easy to use. The case is odd because once you put the brackets onto the lights they no longer fit in the case making the case obsolete. My issue is the backing of the magnet/suction to the metal bracket that then holds the light (3 parts - light, metal bracket, magnet/suction base). Two nuts fix the metal bracket to the light, they're made properly. Two more wing nuts hold this metal bracket to the magnet/suction base (the base does both - a pretty strong center magnet surrounded by a suction cup). At the center of the back of the magnet is a plastic backing with a single metal nut pairing the magnet to the suction. This plastic backing busted easily - though I had never driven anywhere with the lights mounted on my trailer. I went to use them just the other day and noticed this issue. So they broke erroneously simply from putting them together or just sitting around, though I am very careful with things in general. Worse yet, when I called to see if the company could supply spare parts (albeit in the US)... the answer was sadly, "no". Quite disappointing for something that cost $160. The customer service was pleasant though, took my name and number, and claimed if they come across spare parts (via a return) they contact me. Not holding my breath on that one but at least they answered and offered.

So far I’m very impressed. They work as they should, hook up easy. The magnets are the strongest and thankfully i had a bungy cord hooked up or I would have lost them. I’ll rig something up for a more permanent mount and that’s why only 4 stars. Other then that they are over 35 feet away from the back of my truck and work great!

Using these on my “Toad”. These wireless taillights have been working perfectly. First six hours of use only used 25% of charge, well beyond what was promised in the literature. Magnets held well. Nice not having to research wiring diagrams to find vorrage sources and then run wires.

Lights are bright and work well BUT Magnets should be much stronger. Nice kit if you're only driving locally a few blocks. Not good for any kind of distance. Already lost one so they're useless to me now. If you purchase this kit, make sure you tie a teather around each light, because they WILL fall off.
