Does this leave a stain on your skin after washing off?

It did not stain my skin after using soap and water. Comes off easily. It is quite runny, so watch out for unintended drips.

What’s the shelf life?

I can tell you that 1 year after I purchased this it is still the same as the day I opened it. It tastes and feels like a thick pancake syrup, which will generally keep indefinitely as long as its closed up tight and not subjected to extreme temperature fluctuations. I am not a representative for the maker, just a satisfied customer who recommend the product.

It's true, it doesn't stain the face. I was in a production of Macbeth in which I got this blood all over my face and body 8 times a week for 3 months. It did however, stain the hands just a little and it wore off in a few hours. It also doesn't really stain fabric either, the shower curtain in my dressing room got covered in the stuff and came out without any issue in the wash.

Does it have a sticky feel to it?

Yes! It's like the consistency of warm molasses or cold syrup, it's quite viscous. This stuff is great, just beware, stage blood doesn't dry so it will look realistic but can be messy.
