Amore Matte Lip Creme - Babe

I am obsessed and have been for YEARS. If anyone, anywhere, at any time were to ask me who my best friend, ride-or-die, love of my life is, I wouldn’t say my husband, I’d say Milani Satin Lip Crème. Does this make me insane? Yes, clinically and happily. It glides on like other brands commercials want you to think theirs does, but they’re liars. I’ve tried those other brands, yet this is the only liquid lip I keep in my car, purse, at work - you name a place, I’ve left a quarter-full tube of this there. The color is perfect, my two go-to’s are 01 and 02, but the red is also phenomenal. It stays on 12+ hours, after three to four drinks and a Taco Bell Beefy Five Layer Burrito I am only doing a slight touch up - if at all. The consistency and applicator make it so I don’t have to use a lip liner, and it doesn’t bleed whatsoever. I was on the fence about this color because it looks super purple in the pictures but ya know what? I really dig it! It’s definitely darker than anything I normally wear, but when I put it on my husband said my lips looked luscious and ran in to put his face on my face for smooches. YES PLEASE! We’ve been together 12 years and he’s never even used the WORD luscious, let alone used it to describe my face pillows.😍 I’m pretty stoked if I do say so myself. The deets on this lippy. It’s kind of a deep purplish red on me, there is a lot in the tube, it glides on effortlessly, it’s not overly drying on my lips and it dries like paint but not in a bad way. I mean that it’s basically like shellacking your lips with color because this stuff does not come off. It’s not only smudge proof, it’s almost make out proof as well! I say almost because I did leave some faint smooch stains on my Mr.’s face, but out of all the lipsticks I’ve tried thus far, it’s the most smudge proof. Even compared to my Fenty mattes! I’m literally shocked. I also like that I didn’t have to use a lipliner. Omg it’s so easy to get a sharp lip outline with this! No blotting needed btw. The only annoying part about this lippy is that it’s stupid hard to remove. I mean I used jojoba, various toners, and straight up isopropyl alcohol but there was STILL a little hint of color on my lips. I actually had to have my husband reformulate the CBD toner we make so I could finally take this stuff off with one cotton pad instead of using 20 and scrubbing my lips until they are on fire and I look like someone punched me in the mouth. I didn’t take off a star though because, I mean, if I want a lipstick that doesn’t smudge, it stands to reason that it’s gonna be like removing old paint to get it off. Gotta take a little bad with the good ya know? I took a couple of pics close up and farther away so you can see what it looks like on a chocolate gal. I probably should have posted better ones but it was late, I was about to take off my makeup and tired as all get out so I figured as long as I at least attempted modesty by covering my décolletage, we’re good.🤷🏽‍♀️ It’s the lips that are important anyway!🤪 I know that lipstick can look different on different skin tones, so I always try to post a pic for other darker skinned women so ya can have an idea of what it looks like on darker skin..🤓 As always no filters or flash, just my big ole face on display with only my bathroom lights on.🥴 I love this lipstick and I bought it in 5 other colors, hopefully they will all work out for me!🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 ***UPDATE **** The other colors I bought are AWESOME! Especially Amore. I included 2 pics of that color because it’s glorious. It’s this brilliant , almost femme fatale comic book heroine red and I.am.LOVING.it. I feel like I should be fighting crime in a tricked out moserati or something! It’s more drying than the other lippies in this line, but it’s still pretty great. Also, if you are struggling between obsession and gorgeous, may I suggest you try obsession? They are both very similar colors on my African American skin but obsession has more firepower and is more highly pigmented. Gorgeous is like it’s shy 2nd cousin.

I really like this Milani matte lip creme in red. It's a vibrant cherry red. It also dries and stays on for hours without smudging. The only downside is that it's so matte that it dries the lips. Although it looks great on its own, it also looks good with a little lip gloss on top which moistens the lips and puffs them up a bit, giving a more sultry look.

It's a perfect lip liner for my dark lips. Blends with pink really cute. Nice matte finish didn't take long to dry.

My lighter skin doesn’t do the color any justice. But on my girls who I bought it for, looks awesome :)
