Soft, quality Merino wool that's worth the price. Wouldn't recommend to wear alone as leggings, yet fabric is thick enough to provide true warmth. Really well made with a gusseted crotch and a wide waistband for comfort. At 5'8" I appreciate the generous length. Size chart is accurate. I'm typically a medium but since I'll be wearing these around the house and as pajamas rather than layering, I opted for an overall looser fit in a size large.

I love Smartwool products, and these bottoms are a great base layer. They will keep you warm without inhibiting your range of motion. They're also really soft (unlike the Smartwool 150 which, IMHO, feels like cheap polyester and itches like crazy). My complaint is with the bootie. I have a curvy butt, and these pull way low in the back around my bottom. I'm 5'7, range from 165-180 pounds, and typically wear a 12/M in pants. I ordered a large in these and they still pulled down in the back. I don't want to size up again for fear that the bottoms won't be as snug as a base layer should be. I'm keeping these and will wear them, but I'll also try to find a brand that's a little more accommodating to big-bottomed women. But they do what they are supposed to do otherwise, so I'm happy enough.

I’ve been wearing these under my jeans and slacks all winter. Not too thick, not too thin. They’re quality made and hold up very well, true to size. Thinking of buying another pair!

Nice material with a light-medium weight but not very comfortable fit and finish. The legs twist and turn while worn and there both a front seam and no crotch gusset :( the sport version is more comfortable to me. Size small. I'm 26" waist, 40" hip. I thought they were too small at first try on but a small is good. I run cold so I still wear these under my cool-weather casual clothes in the Midwest to help regulate body temps or sometimes as pajamas.
