Early in my teaching career, my mom (who is now a retired elementary school teacher) bought an E-Z Grader for me. After loosing that one during a move from one district to another, I quickly bought a new one. The idea is incredibly simple. You slide the internal card back and forth to align the number of questions on an assignment, and then you can quickly glance down the E-Z Grader to the number of questions the student missed. The percentage score will then be visible through a narrow window in the card. Of course, you can always use a calculator or cell-phone to figure the scores; but the E-Z Grader is faster, and there is no worry about missing a keystroke. This is a good tool for new and more experienced k-12 teachers and post-secondary instructors. There are a couple of options on the E-Z Grader; they make a pink one for Breast Cancer Awareness, and a yellow one that is larger and has bigger print. After using one for years, I recommend it!

Sometimes electronics are more effort than old school tools. As a teacher I grade lots of assignments. Calculating a grade with an electronic calculator needs four inputs: grade earned, divide, total points, equals. Doing that times hundreds of assignments takes a lot of time and is prone to errors by pressing the wrong key.The EZ grader is just that, easy. Select the total number of points for an assignment and simply read the score the student earned. I've bought these as gifts and people love them for the same reason I do, it's easy to grade quickly and accurately. I keep it tucked in my grade book so that I can use it anywhere, anytime.Apple Store has an app exactly like this, but the paper EZ grader is still simpler to use and has the added benefit of being smaller, lighter, and never needs charging.My only gripe is that the numbers are small print, maybe 9 or 10 point font. This is done to keep the grader a reasonable size, but be prepared for small print if that is an issue for you.Buy one and get hours of your life back each week!

I used the E-Z grader as a public school teacher, with over one hundred and twenty students coming in and out my door. I now am using it again as a homeschooling mother. I keep a gradebook of scores of my children's work, papers, tests, quizzes, and projects. I do it to keep motivation high to improve, and also to provide documentation of completion, should I ever have to report my kids' progress to the state or US government.

This is the go-to device for teachers who want to easily record the grade for any number of problems on a paper. I substitute and often grade papers; this is great ... but most people who will use this already know the benefits.

These really save time during grading, especially if you teach large groups of kids and have tons of papers to grade. I bought these as part of a graduation gifts for new teachers; the price per product at the time of my purchase could not be beat!

It’s a grading scale. Not much to really say about that. It’s easy to use and exactly what I was looking for to replace my old one. If you need reading glasses, do beware that the numbers are very small.

I have always just used a calculator but I had to add many more desks into my room and moving back to my desk for a calculator became like navigating a maze. I purchased this to keep at the front of my room and grade on the fly. WOrks great!
