TWIST Weather Up Weightless Curl Defining Gel, 10.5 ounces

I found this product by accident at a local store and fell in love with it . It is lightweight but still does a fantastic job of holding my curls. I am new to the curly hair movement, just began learning how to do my hair since early 2020. This has been one of the best gels yet that I have used in my hair. I am an extremely smell sensitive person and will reject things based on smell alone but I like the smell of this. It is lightweight and doesn't feel too sticky when I am putting it in my hair. I wash my hair in the evening put this in and put my hair up to dry while I sleep. I wake, take my hair down, put a few hairs in place where the part is and I am good to go. My curls are defined throughout the day not crunchy and not sticky and they smell good. Happy with my purchase and glad I found it on Amazon at a reasonable price since my local store no longer has it.

My hair is frizzy whenever there's a hint of humidity and heat.All my usual curly-girl gels and leave-ins didn't work when I went back East in the summer, and in Bali.Then.....Weather Up Gel!I have mixed-girl 3b frizzy unkempt curls that are sleek and defined with this gel. Without it, in the same weather, they are undefined frizz clumps.This stuff is now essential.I have a friend with lovely white-lady rolling waves that she straightens because of how they frizz in rainy air. No more! She also tried some of my Weather Up gel and her hair didn't frizz. So it works on any kind of hair frizz.Highly recommended! It doesn't clump or accumulate and it works instantly. Love this stuff. I've tried a lot of other things and nothing works like this. Also, it sits more like an invisible leave-in rather than a gel. It doesn't stiffen the hair or change the look much, except to make it more defined and shiny and controlled yet still fully curly or wavy.

Works well, but my hair is fine and low-porosity, so it gets weighed down super quickly. This didn't weigh it down nearly as much as most other gels I'd tried previously, but it's definitely not TOTALLY weightless. Light weight would be more accurate. I'd say go for this if your hair isn't as incredibly sensitive as mine.I think the issue is that it also mildly conditions in addition to gels, so my already over conditioned hair doesn't absorb it well. It does, however, smell SO great, and it works super well for my mom, who benefits from the bit of extra conditioning (she has higher porosity fine hair).So my advice, if your hair is a little dry or medium/high porosity, or if you need something that smells good, 100% get this product.If your hair is low-porosity (and you want volume) or over conditioned, opt for Umberto Giuliani's Curl Jelly in the pink bottle. It's scentless, but it's also fully fully weightless since it's just pure gel, no conditioning agents whatsoever.

I LOVE this product on my thin, naturally curly hair! I used devacurl for years & switched to innersence in 2022 when I learned of a lawsuit against devacurl for hair thinning and dealing out. ( I also experienced this and it was awful!) innersence is NINE times more expensive! So this product is a godsend for someone who wants a good style that holds, prevents frizz & feels nice on the hair. I use a leave in creamy conditioner, scrunch the gel in afterwards and diffuse my hair. It is AMAZING! Even prevented frizz on our trip to Jamaica in super humid climate. 10 out of 10!

Didn’t enhance my waves at all; the hair barely had any wave in it with the product. The smell is horrible, exactly like that cheap parfume that has been standing on your grandma’s dresser for too long. Gladly, it doesn’t linger once the hair is dry. But your hands will smell for a while.I liked how the protein gave the hair some structure and made the hair soft. But again, too soft to hold any bend.

I was so surprised with this gel, literally blew me away! 10/10 recommend it for those who need protein in their gels. Provides such a nice slip to the hair and dries so nicely, my curls look for "tamed" for the southern humidity that usually makes it look like a rats nest. I was using Deva Curl ultra defining gel, but I was looking for something more affordable and I am even more satisfied with the results of this gel. I will say a little goes a long way, first time I used way to much product and it did weigh my hair down. Left me wanting to try more products from twist.

Love this great for my curls. Not crunchy not heavy.

I have ALOT of hair. I have spent alot of money on various hair products. Of course some of the most expensive are the ones that work best. I am always on the lookout for something more affordable. I cant spend 70 bucks on a product that lasts approximately 4-6 weeks. I should add that I don't out product in my hair everyday either. Esp in the summer. I bought this June 26th along with the curling primer. I still have just over a quarter of the primer bottle and just ran out of gel today. It did take a few days to figure out how much I needed and depending on the weather, need to tweak the amount. I am SHOCKED AT HOW WELL THIS WORKS IN MY HAIR FOR THE PRICE!!! I absolutely 💖💖 it... and is under 20 bucks!!!! If yall need a spokesperson for your product...Im your GIRL!!!💖💖💖 I'm ordering more gel now and am checking out all the other products you have!!!!
