Low cost for teaching and toys, definitely not for optical applications
Love the price. The films are large and easy to handle - you get a LOT for your money. However, the quality of polarization is poor. When holding sheets back-to-back and slowly rotating them, there should be a point where all light is blocked but these still let a lot of light through even at their darkest orientation. This makes them good for experiments, teaching, and toys, but not effective for optical applications.
