Exquisite. My Favorite Black Tea Sold on Amazon. Highly Recommended. Great price too!
This is hands down my favorite black tea sold on Amazon. It is exquisite. I am a bit of a tea snob and have reviewed hundreds of teas and over 70 Assams, and yet this is one of the best of the best, definitely the best that you can buy on Amazon. The aroma is fresh and bright and complex, there is a lot going on. The flavor is bold but also smooth. There is just the right amount of body. There is a fairly high caffeine content, but something about this tea overall makes me feel more balanced after drinking it. I don't get as jittery drinking a lot of this tea as I do with some other Assams. I can't recommend this enough. If you like pure black tea, try this. It is one of the best teas I've ever had and is the best black tea (and possibly the best tea of any sort) I have ever seen for sale on Amazon. I know the 1 pound bag seems intimidating but trust me, you are gonna love drinking this stuff up. I went through it so fast because I enjoyed drinking it so much, and I don't tire of it at all. The price is great. You can find cheaper teas, but they are not as good. You cannot easily find a tea this good in this price range. Trust me, I've tried more Assams than most people can count, and I'm frugal and a bargain shopper. This tea is truly special, really worth paying for.

Excellent Assam!
Just finished my first pot of this Assam tea and it's as good or better than the dozens of other Assam teas I've tasted and tried on Amazon and elsewhere. I am very pleased.

Lovely and flavorful
This is my favorite tea. I think it’s a very forgivable tea and does not have a strong bitter taste if over steeped. The flavor is quite unique compared to other tea that I’ve tried. I think it’s a great every day tea.

Good quality, strong assam - Second bag was dried, dusty and tasteless...
So far, my fave assam! I like Rishi teas, but they've become prohibitively expensive. This is costly, but half the price of other comparable teas. Worth the price! *Update: Second bag received was dusty and dried out, to the point of ZERO flavor. You can use two heaping tablespoons of tea for a cup, steep it for ten minutes and all you get is caramel colored water. First bag was awesome, this is a total waste, esp. for the price. Gonna have to call "pass" on this tea now, if they can't be consistent month-to-month (little over a month since we bought our first bag).

Bright and tasty
The tea arrived on time and nicely packaged, smells bright, strong. With milk and sugar it's delicious and at a good price

Delicious brew!
I was a bit hesitant to buy this tea as some of the comments and photos showed it was mostly broken leaf and many stems. What we received was the exact opposite: almost all full leaf and although there are few "golden tips" it still has a great flavor. If you were a Peet's Assam Golden Tip drinker, you'll find that this tea doesn't have the Peet's mellowness, but it's still delicious. I take it with milk and it stands up to whole milk fat just fine. Recommended.

DISAPPOINTED IN THE ASSAM GOLDEN TIPS
I am a great fan of farm to customer businesses - and I love to support entrepreneurs from India. I purchased last season's harvest of both Ghograjan's English Breakfast and their regular Assam - as their Golden Tips was already sold out. I enjoyed both the English Breakfast and the Assam. I was really looking forward to this season's Golden Tips Assam - but what I just received is quite disappointing. Instead of being "lighter" and more "flowery" - this season's harvest of the Assam Golden Tips is heavy and harsh - with a real bitter bite to the flavor. I am a long time connoisseur of India's teas, and accept that the Ghorgrajan's brand is a "high-middle level" brand. That said - their Golden Tips should stand shoulders above their regular Assam, and this season's did not. I hope they do better next year!
