DonJoyMaxTrax Air Ankle Walker Brace / Walking Boot

Bottom of boot is very flat - foam around foot tends to move around and you end up with the hard strap rubbing on top of the foot.Sent it back for a refund 15 days ago and it's still in transit. While in transit, there's no refund.Not a happy camper.

This is a great boot- currently healing from a fifth metatarsal fracture. My original boot (EXACT SAME AS THIS) that was given to me at my orthopedic office stopped inflating after a couple of weeks. Decided to order one through Amazon, as getting another from my orthopedic office was far more expensive (they charged me about $350). Works great, is comfy (or as comfy as this type of thing can be).

I had the taller version of this boot already and really liked how supportive it is after my ankle reconstruction but for when I'm on my new scooter the little bulb at the top dug into my leg and pants were hard to fit in it. This one fixes those issues and is still very supportive for my limited walking for now.

I'm upset about this walking boot. We got it today, my daughter wore it for maybe an hour. When she went to put it back on tonight, the second strap from the top came loose from the boot. The stitching holding it on completely came undone. Now I have to figure out if we can fix it, because she has to have one, or send it back for a refund. This is medical equipment. Why is it so haphazardly made?

I bought this for both feet based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately it is not working for me. I needed something to wear especially when at work.(nurse-12 hour shifts--very limited sitting!)-- this one felt more comfortable under and around the foot than another brand that I have. BUt the outer shoe is very heavy! It is also very noisy. ALso, I took it with me to an orthopedic appointment to see if there was anything different I could do when applying and adjusting it. There is too much pressure on my shins if I do not inflate the inner bladder. After the second time wearing it, I am experiencing increased pain to bilateral ankles. Unfortunately , I will be sending back.

The best features are the amount of padding complimented with the air pumps and being shorter it does not go all the way to my knees. There are NOT seams in the areas where the incisions were which was a problem with the other boot I had been using. I finally feel encouraged that I will walk again following ankle replacement surgery 9 weeks ago.

It serves the purpose of replacing the original boot. It doesn't inflate as well as the original... takes forever!

This is a great Air cast boot, helps amazingly when I need the extra support for my ankle. I only have one problem and that is the velcro on the stabilizer poles on the side of the boot detached and when trying to replace them back on they came right back off. I love this boot and would buy and recommended to anyone.

Came fast, easy to put on, very comfortable and instantly removed my pain.

Worked very well, easy to use.
