I bought this to protect my skin from the sun while I’m gardening. I give it 5 stars for sum protection, but 3 stars for design, here’s why: 1. The mask has an opening for the mouth, and if it fits you properly, I’m sure it would work well without problems; however, if you have a smaller face like mine, the second piece will hang open exposing your mouth and chin to the sun. 2. The elastic on the nose area digs into the skin and caused some swelling and denting on my nose. 3. The elastic on the nose piece caused the mask to ride up into my eyes unless I was wearing sunglasses to keep it in place. I was able to fix the design/sizing issues with my sewing machine, but I think it would be nice if this came with a snap attachment for the lower piece, and a stretchy fabric (tapered) on the nose, instead of the thick gathered elastic. Other than that, this is great and protected my skin from freckling and burning, without causing my skin to break out! It’s also easy to wash and breathe through!

Excellent customer service

I’m 42 on my next birthday. The scientists say 90% of aging is caused by the sun. So I started wearing SPF 60 mineral sunscreen, a huge brim hat, and this mask every time I go outside when the disk of the sun is above the horizon line. Even if it’s raining and I’m just running to the mailbox. I have noticed a humongous improvement in my skin! My liver spots are gone, my crow’s feet are greatly diminished, and my skin looks brighter and more radiant. My esthetician, friends, and even His Lordship have noticed! Best of all, my mom’s new neighbor (who is at least ten years younger than me) referred to me as “young lady.”

I use with a bucket hat and I think it's VERY protective. The hat will protect the forehead while this protects the rest of the face/neck. I used it most with playing sports outdoors, and the peep hole made it easier to breathe. I also never worried about it flying up but I don't think it ever was super windy either. Also super easy to throw in the wash when/if necessary and it is holding up fine!

I thought I was going to be able to remove the mask from the bottom neck covering part. To be using it either way together or separated. That was my mistake for not reading the whole thing. I am pretty sure that somewhere in there it is writing that it is all switch together. I am a petite woman that's why I think it won't look too good on me, like it does on the picture of a taller woman.
