works well with arduino
I have used this module for a number of Arduino projects and it works well. I have always used this with an external active 5v antenna mounted outside for indoor use, as the supplied antenna was too weak to receive signals indoors however marginally well outdoors.

Amazing little unit!
This really is plug 'n play. Talks immediately to TeraTerm (Mr Gates having discontinued Hyperterminal) and to PC-based AIS display. Pretty sensitive - grabbed 6 satellites within 5 minutes while only half sky available. Accuracy is debatable but more than adequate for my purposes. Having now found an affordable source of IPX/u.FL to SMA adaptors, I'll be trying it with other LNAs. HOWEVER: Claims to output standard NMEA 0183 on the header pins, but 0183 specifies 4800Bd whereas the non-USB datastream defaults to 9600Bd. It is claimed it can be changed, but seems to require hardware mods on the board (ground pin 15 against its pull-up), but this does not work. Is there a command that can be sent???

Plug and play for a Jetson Nano, but antenna is weak
Works straight away with a Jetson Nano using the TXD/RXD pins. However, as other reviews claim, the provided antenna was too weak to get a fix on 3 satellites, which is required for localisation. I had to buy another antenna: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07MHGPT8L?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

Works ok
Bit tricky to set up, particularly if you do not use the examples. Once working, excellent accuracy, particularly if when reading coordinates 6 decimal places are used. Examples only have 5.

Works, but you need a better aerial
I bought two of these and forgot you need to solder the header on. Why? But the aerial is pointless, I'm sure you would have been better with a coat hanger. I got a better one elsewhere which was part of a waveshare board, so I can't be much help sourcing one that works. Though it does increase the size as they tend to take up a bit of space with the cable and the. You'll find something like it on Amazon just by searching for one. So not perfect but works. Not sure why they bothered shipping with the aerial that doesn't work, I mean it just makes the product look useless.

Good module for the price
A good module when considering price vs features. I needed a 1PPS output and this did the job perfectly. Good reception outdoors or with the supplied antenna, indoors is more patchy. Not the most accurate receiver, but at this price, good enough for my needs.

Very accurate, works perfectly
Google sketches for this, but I got mine up and running and it pinned my location within a few feet. Some folks talked of having to have a great signal/clear view of the sky for the antenna to get a fix but I'm using it in my bedroom in a brick house and it got 7 satellites.. Works great
