Finicky to start with!
I purchased this for my sister, for a pc I was building for her. This seemed like a great middle ground wireless adapter. However, while I was careful with my purchased and did look at reviews. I didn't realize how bad it would be.The drivers this comes with are completely useless. There is no point in even attempting to install them from the disk and use them. I went to the suggested website by other reviewers and downloaded some drivers from there and installed them that way. It also took awhile for the program to fully integrate and get working with windows 7. At first it almost didn't seem to be working. After a restart windows 7 was then legitimately taking over and telling me my network information and connection. Instead of the small program provided with the drivers.-CONS--Requires drivers provided by manufacturer not the provider.-Need hardwired connection to download said drivers-Takes awhile to integrate into windows 7 systems.-PROS--Once operational works fine. (Works like any windows 7 wireless laptop.) Meaning the controls are all basically in windows 7 once integrated properly.-No notable issues so far.

Do not hesitate to buy this
I was a little skeptical of this card, based on the low price, but I've been using it for a week now with no problems whatsoever. I purchased this because I have a desktop and wanted to eliminate the cord between my router and my CPU.Two caveats based on negative reviews I have read - 1, I live in a studio and my CPU is about 10 feet away from the wireless router, so I cannot comment on signal issues - 2, my operating system is Vista, so I cannot comment on any problems with Windows 7, although I noticed the specs say this card is compatible with Windows 7. Based on my experience I would not be concerned about compatibility issues. With those two caveats out of the way, I have found this card to be ideal. No connectivity issues whatsoever, easy to install, uninterrupted signal/connection, no problems, and great price. The CD that installs the driver also installs a utility to manage the connection. That software is not great - it's not hard to use, but it's a little quirky. I could probably delete this software and use Vista to manage wireless connections, but the software is good enough I haven't bothered. If you don't understand this comment, don't worry, the software is easy enough to use - a degree in information technology is not required to use this product.General comment - I considered spending more for the "N" card instead of the "G" card, but I researched a little bit and found out that the only difference is the amount of data the cards are able to handle. This card (the "G" card) can handle 54 megabytes per second. The internet connection I have from Verizon is only 15 megabytes per second, so I would have wasted money getting the N card, because this card can handle over three times the speed of my home internet connection.Overall point - do not be skeptical buying this product based on its low cost. It is easy to install and gets the job done.

Can't handle even moderate use
I installed this card on Windows 7 64 with dreadful results. I ran it on every driver I could find; I ran it with and without the included software; I altered every possible setting.Regardless of all this, the card would choke brutally on moderate network traffic. Despite a decent, consistent signal picked up by the antenna, pings to the gateway would take 50ms, sometimes 100 or more. My ping in online games would start at 40ms but quickly spike to over 700.When I installed an ancient D-Link 2320, getting exactly the same signal, I had absolutely none of these problems.

Wireless Adapter Card
Well How Should I start this, Oh maybe I should start by saying that this wireless card is not the card that I ordered. Now on the other hand it arrived quickly, and this card functions well and it has software that allows it to automatically connect to a network without you having to do anything.

Great For The Price
Picked this up for a new PC I was working on and wanted to add wireless capability. Out of the box it was installed in the computer and running my Windows 7 online in less than ten minutes, very easy install, " I wish everything installed for me like this did ". Scan range could be better but for the price you can't beat it. I am using it to connect to a home network and the router is located a floor away and at the far point of the house from the card and I get full bar ( excellent ) signal strength without any connection interruption. If you are looking for an affordable way to add wireless internet option to your PC this is the way to go ;)

Very good product, but beware what programs you have installed!
Well, I recently built a pc and was at my budget line. So I purchased this little guy to save some bucks. At first it would not work at all! It would not even pick up a signal, then with many hours of searching for updated drivers, thinking it was the cause, it still would not connect to the internet. Well, I did some searching and dug into the motherboard manual. And it turned out there was an application called Xfast LAN on the asrock 880GM-LE FX motherboard that was causing issues with this adapter. I uninstalled that app, and this adapter connected instantly. I have been running heavy loads of multitasking on the net with it and I am very pleased. My only issue is some pages takes a little while to load or hangs. Not sure if this is the sites themselfs, an option on my computer or the adapter. But it is not enough to give a bad review for. This adapter is fast, and has great range. I am on the other side of the house, my room is actually separate from the house up a flight of stairs. And I am getting perfect signal strength right now. Very good for the price!
