love this popcorn popper!
what a great purchase. The popcorn is so much better than in hot air pop. It no longer has that cardboard taste but more airy...if that makes sense. Also clean up is great. I put the glass in the dishwasher and it comes out sparkling clean. I just wash the plastic stopper by hand as I think it will last longer this way. It's also a great gift for someone that is into popcorn (and has everything).

I Couldn't Be Happier
I have to say, I am very pleased with this Glass Popcorn maker. In my 1100 watt microwave, I dump about a quarter cup of kernels in, place the lid on and start the microwave. It takes about 1 minute and 35 seconds to cook. I tried putting the butter on the lid so it can coat the popcorn as it pops, but that just seems to make a mess and the butter scorches in the pitcher. If the butter came out of the refrigerator prior to popping the corn, it won't melt enough by the time the popcorn is finished popping. Now, I simply put the butter in a glass bowl and nuke it for about 10 seconds after I take the popped popcorn out. My wife was a little perturbed with me when I ordered this as she already has glass bowls that I could have used. Once this arrived and she saw it, she was quite pleased. It is a bit hot when the popcorn popping is first completed, but I find that I can still hold it by the handle without fear of getting burned. (The manual states that the product will be hot. That is a no brainer. lol) Clean-up is super easy and since I don't melt the butter inside, I can make batch after batch of popcorn with no fuss. I love popcorn and I really love that I don't have to add any oil or anything to the popcorn to cook it. Just dump in the kernels, put on the lid, and start nuking. It couldn't be easier. If I should happen to drop this and smash it or something, I would buy another without hesitation.

The best purchase I have made for healthy treats with no packaging
I will never go back to microwave popcorn again with all the chemicals and plastic packaging! This maker is sturdy, easy to clean, and I can use however much healthy oil I want (I used coconut) to produced great tasting popcorn. Worth the money!

Microwave problem solution.
Pros: Awesome popcorn. Healthy popcorn. Easy to clean. Dishwasher safe. Cons: Fragile- the glass is thin but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work with thicker glass. Have to be careful when washing or moving. Handle probably couldn't withstand weight if filled with water. Doesnt feel cheap. Don't let this deter you from buying. Bowl had issues when first purchased. Wouldn't work in microwave. HOWEVER, after washing it several times and putting it through the dishwasher on high heat twice. It started working and it made better and better popcorn with each use. There must be some manufacturing film or something keeping it from working initially. I wasted probably 10-15 batches of popcorn before I got my settings and routine to make perfect popcorn. Overall, I'm very impressed with this. I have 8 ways of making popcorn in the house and this is my favorite. Note: old stale popcorn (I buy the 50 lb bag from Sam's) doesn't cook as well. So now I store my popcorn in large airtight container and popcorn is better overall. Update: 2-22-2020 accidentally broke it today. When pulling it out of the sink, I clipped it on another dish. It cracked but didn't shatter. Still my favorite way to make popcorn and I'm buying another to replace it. Also, it makes a great gift.
