I'm a first time home owner and one day in a fit of rage at the shower not draining quick enough, I ripped out part of this device, thinking it was responsible. Many months went by after that and suddenly the bathroom started to reek. Horrible drain odors, sounds banging in the pipes due to water slapping as it pulled vacuum from our now unsealed drain. Super annoying and nasty. I stumbled upon a YouTube video with one of these in it. Turns out, its also the EXACT piece the people who originally built the shower used too. I pulled out the housing from the drain with ease and then replace it with this new one. A perfect fit. Now no more smells and no more banging sounds because the pipes pull the air from the vents in the roof instead of from my bathroom. TL;DR: I was an idiot and removed this at first, realized it was a stupid thing to do and used this as a replacement piece - turns out they were exactly the same in every way. Problem solved. No stink. No noise.

Increíble, llevo usándolo casi 2 meses, por fin se acabaron los olores en los baños, y lo sorprendente es que traga rápido. Tuve la suerte de que encaja perfecto quitando el paraguas del sifón y añadiendo un par de vueltas de teflón.

Ho sostituito il sifone normale con questo a membrana perché a volte si sentiva cattivo odore Ed ho risolto il problema!!! Perfetto!
