I heard good things about this book but it didn't do anything for me, sorry

I really wanted to like this book, but I didn’t. I wasn’t able to identify with the author’s idyllic accounts of her parents’ relationship, her own marriage and her experience of motherhood, which all tie very closely into the meaning she is able to find and the rituals she creates. So it wasn’t for me.

This book has been with me through so much. I first discovered when I was in a situation where it felt like everything around me was failing. There has been many moments when I have returned to the book just to remind myself that there is much good in this world. And that what we do matters, even if at the end of Everything it doesn’t.I’ve also had multiple major identity crises over the years and for the first time in a long while this nailed something in place for me. The life philosophy captured in the book resonates with my very foundations deeply and profoundly. I don’t have a name for it but I recognize myself in it. I suppose Saganism is a close match, but Sasha has taken what her parents gave her and taken it to whole new depths.The book has also been a very practical guide for creating rituals for myself and with the kids. The solstices being a little off from the mainstream holidays has been a blessing in this. And even the pandemic. It’s a lot easier to make your own rituals when there is no pressure to visit other people.The hardcover book has found it’s place on the shelf by the kitchen table. As the holy book that is taken out on special occasions to be read out loud. And as taught in the book, anything can be a reason to celebrate.All the stars in the universe/5

Love, love this book, it's light, well written and Alexandra (Sasha ) being the daughter of professor Carl Sagan and Ann Druyan it was no surprise to me that I did and do love this book...you will not regret reading it, she will go far, well done.

Creo que me dejé llevar por el entusiasmo del apellido de la autora. Esperaba que estuviese mas relacionado con el legado de su padre pero el libro es un repaso de las diferentes tradiciones y hábitos culturales sin más (a un nivel muy superficial) y, a mi gusto, un exceso de información y ejemplos azucarados sobre su dia a dia en su matrimonio.

The table of contents reminded me of an opening to an old 1960s medical show called Ben Casey. It started out with the symbols and words for man, woman, birth, death, infinity. The Sagan name and the starry background cover were probably enough to catch my interest. The book is called "a tribute and a love letter to my parents, Ann Druyan and Carl Sagan." I believe the author succeeded in her tribute. Very well played. It was a pleasure reading the book. The author's father would have been very proud. An upbeat philosophy of life acknowledging multicultural surroundings and a philosophy of nature as only Carl Sagan's daughter could have.

I'd recommend this to everyone I know I'm going convince everyone to read Sasha Sagan's Book !!Kudos !! Keep Inspiring us All
