Kayak Toggle Handles with Cord (Pack of 2)

Good Handles
These are nice for the price. Complaints about short cords are silly. Just push one end of the cord out of the handle, unknot it, thread through the attachment point and back into the handle, and re-knot it. Cords are short for safety reasons so that they don't dangle unnecessarily.

Great grip!
This was exactly what I was looking for and at a reasonably price. I had no problems installing them. I just slid one side of the string out of the handle and untied it, slid it through the boat loop, then retied it. Now I don't have broken and dangerous handles anymore!

Understand the design!
Dig: these handles come with a short loop for compliance reasons (some weird European safety law about getting a wrist stuck) but understand the length is probably going to be perfect, anyway. And if it's not, just toss the short cords and cut the supplied extra cord to length.Understand that the cord pushes out each end of the hollow handle, where you can untie the simple overhand knot, pass through the pad eye (or whatever kayak attachment point), and thread back into the handle and retie the knot.As far as 2 in a pack -- makes sense! Kayak/Canoe has two lift points, and you'll need the other one sooner or later. Not affiliated; just don't understand the 1 star reviews and lack of understanding of the design. Heck, Hobie wants $19.99 for *one*.

Some Assembly Required
The handles did not arrive as pictured. There are two naked handles and a length of nylon cord. The cord must be divided, the ends melted to prevent ravelling, the cords threaded through the handles (in opposite directions, not obvious but found through trial and error) and then knotted to secure them.I also didn't like the two pack. I only needed one. How much waste is generated by sellers who can't be satisfied with their profits unless they sell two handles, three pen refills, and a dozen guitar picks

It works great
Like others have stated just push the string till the knot comes out at the end. Un-tie, loop though, push back in the hole, re-tie and pull. Fit perfectly with the new drain plugs I got for the stern with a eyelet.

It will fit if you untie the knot
The price and feel of this kayak handle is great but you do have to know how to install it push the rope out of the side of the handle untie the knot loop through the kayak bow or stern hole Retie the knot and slip it back into the side of the handle others have suggested this it works perfect

Great replacement.
Just what we needed to replace the thread bare ones we previously had!I was not sure how to put the string on at first. I realized that the rope needed to be threaded through the middle hole first and then after it comes out of the side hole, you knot it. You do this with both end and then the knots are hidden inside the handle.

Useless for kayak transport
The rope on these is so short there is no way I'll be able to attach these correctly to my kayak. It states that it's for safety reasons. They are pretty much useless for carrying my kayak and a waste of money.

An easily fitted, good quality, robust kayak spare.
Good price. Easily fitted. Arrived very quickly. Just as advertised. Well made and tough enough to last for years as the original did.
