Inspiring and Beautiful
Well written, well illustrated, inspiring, motivational, and fun to read, with diverse characters and a very meaningful message. Only problem is the rhyme scheme was not the best. However, this is still most definitely worth the read!

Empowering story for young girls.
This story is beautifully illustrated with several powerful messages. First, it conveys the power of choice to young girls. It also demonstrates that life takes hard work that is well worth the rewards. Sometimes the reward is simply the feeling of a positive self-image when we choose to maintain an "I can attitude" amidst our struggles. At other times we achieve the very things for which we strive. The attitude along the way is what counts. I'm always striving to teach my first-grade students the power of intrinsic motivation. This story is a great companion and discussion-starter towards that message.I also like that some of the illustrations demonstrate a friend helping the main character while other pages depict the character finding her own strength through her inner voice. This conveys an underlying message that we have the inner strength to handle challenges, but we don't always need to do things independently. Too often, Independent females think we need to "go it alone." However, the most resilient individuals are those who have a support system that they aren't afraid to lean on.

Perfect Fit!
I Choose to Try Again is a beautiful book with an inspiring message that resonates with the young and old. I was a vendor at The Collard Green Festival promoting literacy and so many people asked me if my book was for sale. They made sure they got the title and author to order it from Amazon. The next time I am a vendor at an event I will make sure to order several copies of the book to sale! Congratulations to writing a great book! I Choose to Try Again.

Wonderful
What a wonderful story. This one of our school’s character traits (effort). We have been discussing how when things are hard you need to keep trying. Things don’t always happen right away. It can take a lot of trying. It is so important for kids to understand this. This book fits perfectly into this important lesson. This would be a wonderful addition to any classroom library.

Is it supposed to rhyme?...
It reads really strange at first. Is it supposed to rhyme? Eventually it starts to but not until you're halfway through. What's confusing is certain words are in bold, so I'm assuming those words are supposed to rhyme but it doesn't in my head.Example (I used asterisks for the parts in bold in the book):"Schoolwork, chores, or *sports*.Study hard and practiceAnd remember all that you're *taught*."And then the next page it rhymes properly with *Fail* and *Sail* another page tries to rhyme *too hard* and *reward*... The message is great but.. maybe I'm just too dumb to read it in a way that flows.

Poorly written
Poorly written prose. My daughter actually hid it because "it's terribly boring."
