Does anyone know if this is vegan?

This product is not vegan because the capsule is gelatin. Gelatin is a natural animal product that many people take as a dietary supplement to improve the health of joints, skin, nails, tendons and all tissues containing collagen. Vegan capsules on the other hand are made of hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, a lab-created chemical synthesized from wood. Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) is never made from vegetables.

Why do other Novasol Curcumins use 1,000mg curcumin and others 40-50 mgs?

Even if this product is 185X more bioavailable then standard Curcumin, it contains just 40-42mg of Curcumin in extract form. Therefore, does it not follow that even if it is 100% absorbed by the body, that the most Curcumin you can get from this product is 40-42 mg of Curcumin? It would seem that another product with 750mg of standardized Curcumin, if only 10% absorbed by the body would give 75mg of Curcumin to the body which is more then the 185X product. Is this reasoning valid or not?

I am using dr.danielles turmeric curcumin. i thought for the best absorbtion curcumin has to come with black pepper?

I agree, I have read many many places that black pepper increases absorbtion from 100 to 2000 %...i have seen the claim on this product from others charging 50 bucks when they could crush 3 dollars worth of tumeric and 5 cents worth of pepper and probably get more absortion...we probably dont need to absorb that much anyway...

This product 100% absorbed = 40-42mg curcumin max. Another product 750mg 10% absorbed = 75mg curcumin. Which gives body more? Valid reasoning?
