Tel-Tru Thermometer Installation Kit for replacement barbecue thermometers

This product works EXACTLY as intended. However, $9.95 is ridiculous for the cost of the items in question. So i took off two stars for the price, but left the other 3 since the product does exactly what it is supposed to do. If I could have found the right nut/locknut and/or washer to replace it at a local hardware store, I would have bought them somewhere else. Unfortunately, they have you over a barrel in the sense that these are odd sizes that are very hard to find (I couldn't find them anywhere except here, imagine that). As a result, they have a bit of a monopoly and charge you accordingly. Frankly, this should be included with all their thermometers and they should just raise the price $1-3 (NOT $9.95!). Aside from that though, I'm extremely happy with this in combination to my new dome temp thermometer that I installed on my smoker.

These work great but they are certainly overpriced. Minus one star for making me buy them separately. These should be included with the Tel-Tru thermometers.

You absolutely have to buy this kit with the new thermometer. It does not come with one in the packaging.

Works very well and is a well built accessory for my Weber Smoky Mountain. I only give it 4 stars because you have to buy the mounting "kit" separately. If you want an accurate, easy to read thermometer this is it. C'mon Tel-Tru put the nut and washer in with it!
