The kit looks lovely, and the book is clear and easy to understand. This was a gift and I was very disappointed that the box and book arrived damaged. The book was almost ripped off the box and the box was grazed all over. I had to go out and buy a replacement gift. Very inconvenient. Still, as far as the kit goes, it looks really good.

My 8 year old granddaughter is showing some interest in starting to do hand sewing. I had gotten a different company's kit with prepunched holes and 'stick on' eyes, etc. While cute, I know that the eyes etc will fall off in a week and we would be left with a frustrated crafter. This kit is perfect for her. She picked it out herself, and loves the cuteness of the donut animals. The directions are STELLAR - even if you've never held a needle you can do this. I mean, it tells you how to tie a knot in the end of the thread! (This is definitely a 'do-together' project for someone who has not done any sewing, though. ) She finished the first donut and is pleased as can be. In this project she learned a running stitch and a whipstitch. She is learning how to take a few stitches on the back to tie off her thread (again, pointed out in the book) and now is getting more adept at threading the needle. Every item is SEWN on, so as I told her "these will still be together in 50 years". There is just enough challenge to make it interesting but not so bewildering that she is frustrated. She is delighted with the box to display them in and is very, very proud of her new skills. I bought Klutz things for my son (her father) 35 years ago, and the quality is still excellent. So glad to revisit this brand!

Ich hatte sehr viel Spaß dabei, die kleinen Donuttierchen zu basteln. In dem Set ist alles enthalten, was man braucht und alle Filzteile sind bereits zugeschnitten. Hat den Vorteil, dass man den Filz nicht selber schneiden muss, aber den Nachteil, dass man hinterher auch keine Schablonen hat um weitere Tierchen zu basteln. Das Material war vollständig vorhanden, lediglich etwas Garn und ein paar Augen und Wangen sind übrig geblieben (hier braucht man nicht alle, je nachdem, für welche Gesichter man sich entscheidet). Eine kleine Box zur Aufbewahrung der fertigen Werke war ebenfalls dabei. Die Anleitungen waren leicht verständlich und einfach zu befolgen. Es lohnt sich, ein paar Klemmen oder Stecknadeln da zu haben, um die einzelnen Teile beim Nähen zu fixieren!
