Howard Leight MAX-1 Foam Ear Plugs Uncorded, 20 Piece

I use these mostly to sleep when traveling--particularly when staying in noisy cities and when trying to nap on airplanes. I found the Leight Foam Plugs to be the best. They're soft, malleable, and conform quickly to the shape of my ear canal. Wearing any type of ear plugs can take some getting used to. I know my ears can get sore after the first night if I don't wear them regularly. But the tenderness goes away within a day or two, and then I'm fine--I don't even notice them. Of all the plugs I've tried, these are the ones that block out the most sound, with a NRR (Noise Reduction Rating) of 33. I believe that's the highest rating of any commercial ear plugs. Without getting too graphic, I should mention that the plugs' effectiveness is reduced if they're used over again too many times. Wax build-up can reduce their effectiveness. On the plus side, I've found that the plugs are machine washable. I put them in a small zippered bag and after a turn in the dryer, they're clean and good to go. I never travel without a least two pair in my toiletry bag. I also carry a pair in my briefcase, just in case. PROS: --Top rated plugs with an NRR of 33 --Very comfortable --Reusable and washable --Durable and very flexible --Super light CONS: --Like all plugs, they can take some getting used to --Effectiveness reduced after multiple uses without washing --Not for swimming These are great ear plugs for sleeping. I wish I'd found these back in my college days--I would have gotten a lot more sleep.

Does the job

Los compré para un viaje de trabajo. En el vuelo me ayudaron a disminuir el ruido del avión (no en totalidad - es un avión xd) y en el hotel, mi roomie roncaba como motor de lancha... con los tapones, no escuchaba nada, pueden llegar a ser incómodos al inicio pero te acostumbras. Totalmente recomendados. Solo aprieta la goma y deja que se infle dentro de la oreja para moldearse a tu oreja.

I couldnt get these to stay in my ears. Have been using foam ear plugs for a few months now & thought id try something different.. unfortunately i couldnt use these at all

These earplugs work great! They are very comfortable and very quite. I am a hunter and really like shooting guns. These work great! They keep my ears from ringing all day and even block enough sound so that shooting all kinds of firearms is not even annoying to the ears. They are so cheap that I always bring a few extra pairs for whoever I take and don't even think twice about them losing the pair. I also use these for sleeping in my houses. I live with 2 very noisy roommates and two dogs. These earplugs are comfortable enough to lay on a pillow (even when I am a side sleeper) and work well enough to let me get some sleep when the dogs are barking or my roommates are blaring music in the living room. This is a great product and an even better price!!!
