Bluestone Sunshields Full Lux

This sun visor is absolutely amazing to drive with. I drive a lot for work and I'm exposed to the sun for hours and hours a day and this keeps the sun and road glare off my face and neck. It's light easy to adjust on your head and comfortable too. I notice that I can feel heat through it and I wish it had more IR protection. It's very large and dramatic and most people will laugh at you so have some clever comebacks ready and you'll be fine. I'm scared to use any chemicals on it so I might start wearing a headband with it because the plastic fabric that's in the visor seems like it would absorb oils and dirt pretty easily. it's very permeable.

First of all everyone laughs at me when I wear this out but guess who’s not going to be looking wrinkly and old when I’m a little old lady ! ME . I love it and I feel so protected from the heat because if there is one thing I cannot stand it’s the heat and I also have hyperpigmentation so this is perfect and it’s perfect post procedure as well ! I lt has really good visibility as well . The only thing I wish was included was complimentary cleaner to wipe the shield down . Also she’s big head friendly !

Love it except the head band doesn’t fit well if you have an oval shape or big head. The flip up/down works great and is convenient. I can also fit it over all of my glasses and I wear big frames! The shield will touch the frames, but it doesn’t bother me. My hat size runs 7-7 1/2 and the band is too snug, even on the longest adjustment. I also wear it high in front and low in the back because with the snug fit, it leaves impressions on my forehead, so I try to keep it at my hairline. The hook on the band also slips out very easily (only when off my head), but I always have to put it back in when I go to put it on. I’m glad I got this shield over others, but I expected better for the price.

Still have to wear the usual sunscreen under, the screen blocks out most of the rays and makes you feel less hot under the sun but my skin is still gets a little red on the cheeks after taking my dog out for 1 hour on a sunny day. The colour looks very nice and fabric is breathable not stuffy at all but the joints seem a little weak need to be very gentle when adjusting the angle of the screen

I really dislike leaving negative reviews, and I didn’t purchase this product for comfort. My primary reason for buying it was UV protection, as I actively avoid sun exposure. To test it, I placed my transition glasses under the Bluestone sunshield and exposed them to direct sunlight. The lenses darkened — which only happens when UV rays are present. This indicates the shield is not blocking UV radiation as advertised. If UV protection isn’t actually provided, then this product unfortunately wasn’t worth the price.

I bought this for Aruba because sunscreen isn’t ever enough that close the equator. Unfortunately I couldn’t take it because it’s far too fragile to travel with in luggage- you’d have to hold it the entire time on an airplane so it doesn’t get smashed. There is a case specifically for this visor but it looks like it’s the size of a guitar case. I don’t want to carry extra bags on an airplane. Frankly, the visor is just impractical unless you are using it at home and around town. Also, the film is extremely hard to get off. You risk scratching the lens. It’s just too much money to be this fragile. I had to send it back and am super bummed because I loved the idea. I may try this brand again if they come up with a way to make it sturdier/ less susceptible to scratches and more travel friendly.

This was perfect after I had laser surgery on my face! It’s very high quality and protected my face from UV rays after my procedure. The shield covers your healing face too so it’s not as shocking to others. (My face was bright red) Anyone that’s avoiding the sun should have this protection. It’s super comfortable and durable too.

I gave 3 stars because it does block the sun. But the visor is small. Even on the largest adjustable place it’s tight on my head and I have a pretty normal sized head. But It doesn’t adjust any bigger. The quality is definitely not what I expected for the 90$ price. The quality for the price is disappointing. I’m already so nervous it’s going to break. There has to be something cheaper with a similar or better quality.
