German Castrol Class IV Synthetic
This is the real deal- Germany produced, Euro blend, Class IV Synthetic. This is the oil that BMW recommends and uses in its new autos (which have an oil change service interval of 15K Km/10K Miles). What does that mean? This is a real, full synthetic, made with PAO/Esters. Most of the oil sold on the shelf and branded as "synthetic" are really just blends of high quality regular oil with a synthetic additive, but are not true synthetic, including those branded as Castrol Syntec. (all considered Class III oils) The only other true, full synthetics that I know of are Amsoil, Royal Purple, Mobil1, and Redline, which are a bit more expensive. The bobistheoilguy website, which bases its oil reviews on actual research and blind testing have found this to be a pure synthetic through chemical analysis. A lot of good information is on that website if you'd like to look into it further. Some of the benefits of running a true synthetic are extended intervals between oil changes (oil change every 8-12K miles) and much more suitable to harsher driving conditions, such as big temperature changes, cold start, high rpm, stop and go, short trips. There are supposedly slight MPG improvements, but I haven't noticed much because I have been enjoying how smooth my car operates on this, with liberal throttle application. This is a very well respected oil among auto enthusiasts, your car will thank you. I am using this in my 2008 Volvo C30 T5

European spec oil at an excellent price.
This is the only oil I use in my 2011 BMW 128i. It’s one of the oils specified for BMW’s. I can’t speak to the specifics of this product only that I buy it here because Amazon has the lowest price. I know it’s high quality oil for high performance European engines.

perfect oil for my m2c. despite what others say in the reviews, it is bmw ll-01 certified. probably the best oil on the market for modern turbo Bmw's and you can never go wrong with castrol

Castrol is a quality engine oil
Castrol Edge Euro 0W-30 A3/B4 full synthetic engine oil is the recommended oil for my Volkswagen Atlas equipped with the VR6 engine. I've noted initial start-ups are quieter which is greatly appreciated. At just under $9/qt. the price point was attractive.

The best for BMW's from recent years
I have two BMW's, a 2015 328i (75,000 miles) and a 2018 740e PHEV (90,000 miles), both with the 2.0 liter turbo. Sticker under the hood for both recommends "0w30". When I took them to the BMW dealer, I would be given the latest BMW 0w20 formulation, and I would have to add oil between changes. Sometimes within 3-4000 miles with the 2015, and usually near time for the next change on the 2018. Using this Castrol and doing it myself with a quality Mann filter, both cars go the full interval (8000 mi for the 2015, 10000 miles for the 2018) without needing to add oil. The 2015 stays halfway between "add" and "full", and the 2018 stays snug against "full" for the entire interval. The cars seem to like it. Mostly interstate usage for both.

2018 BMW 330i xdrive
I am an auto detailer and take care of all my vehicles. I changed this oil after 9k miles. I think this is a better product than what my bmw dealer uses. It is to spec according to the owners manual, and my car drives much smoother and quieter. I have 60k miles on my 2018. Let’s see if I can get another 10k with this oil. I live in Ohio where the climate changes daily.
