It is good for what it is, knockoff to a specific magnet modifier brand. It is smaller and the rubber is more squisher than that said brand. The magnets aren't covered at all, so they can pop out if the other magnet side is stronger, so you may have to glue them. Personally though I'll go with the real brand name one since it feels better.

This magnet flash diffuser kit is amazing and a remarkable value! I recently purchased a very popular flash magnet modifier kit being sold by another company (you may know of this kick-starter company). I bought their kit for $89 -- ouch! However, this Selens flash modifier kit is nearly identical and includes speedlight grip, honeycomb grid, gel holder and seven hard plastic color gels. I purchased three of these kits, one for each of my other speedlights.PROS:The magnets are strong.The silicone rubber is excellent quality.Grids and gels are same size as the competitor's.The diffusion produces excellent results.CONS:Magnets tend to come out when removing from the base grip unit.Plastic gels are not as thick nor marked to identify its color.Summary: I'm pleased with this economical alternative to the extremely overpriced magnet modifier kit costing 5x more. The number one concern I do have is the magnets pulling loose from the silicone piece when removing from the speedlight. This is a good value for the money.

Ok for a bargain grid. Magnets tend to fall out. Will not hold weight of a real magmod sphere or bounce diffuser.

These are great for the price. I wish the gels were made from a thicker plastic though.

Awesome product, I will be buying one for each of my flashes. Very durable rubber product and very easy to set plus great design. Exactly the same product as a new released brand for a fraction of the price. The only downside is that the color is now the correct cto orange I wanted, I had to buy my own CTO correction gels which was an additional $20 so if you are looking for correcting gels, you will have to buy separately.

I am a photographer who does most of my work at conventions. I shoot comic book conventions for fun mostly because the cosplayers make amazing characters come to life that I get to meet and interact with. This little package comes with two amazing tools that you can use together or apart. First you get the grid which what a grid does is cut the light down and make it drop off quickly. This is perfect for making sure you do not expose too much of the background and isolates the subject making them the focus point. The second piece of this 2 in 1 is the gels. What are gels well some of them are light correcting meaning if you use a flash and you want some of the ambient light to also show the colors might not match up at all. The color correction gels fix the mixed lighting issues and can give you the control you need to make the perfect picture. You can also use the gels as something of a FX to make for unique images. The entire system uses magnets to click on to the flash hardware.
