UPSS Add-On Shock Sensor To Factory OEM Car Alarm Security System

This part is inexpensive, easy to install and makes a factory alarm, which on Rams only goes off when a door is opened, activate to shocks and bumps to the vehicle.

2018 Ram 2500 Unit doesn't work, trigger sensor hooked up to door trigger violet wire and also tried hood pin switch with no results. Led flashes like it should, sensor flashes when motion is detected but alarm will not trigger no matter what I try.

Works exactly as advertised. Great product. I integrated it into my 2019 Camaro.

DISCLAIMER- RECOMMENDED FOR ADVANCED 12v INSTALLERS ONLY Ideal for a small car or bike not fullsize vehicle . Installed this unit today on my 2017 ram 2500 by tapping into the factory alarm system. I highly reccomend taking this to an installer if you dont know what youre doing as instructions were almost useless and not explained very well .After a full day of tinkering with wiring and trying to understand how unit trigger wire functions i ended up having to incorporate the use of a relay (not mentioned) to get this unit trigger to ground properly as the negative trigger does not act as a ground in itself. The reason i say this is not meant for a fullsize vehicle is because the sensitivity at maximum adjustment is still not very sensitive , i tried to mount the unit firstly under the dash then quickly realized the back doors were not picking up so moved it to the center of vehicle to get an even range across all doors. The sensor has 2 led indication lights depending on vibration detected one green for light detections that doesn't trigger and one red for instant triggers. At max sensitivity you could bang the doors fairly hard and kick the tires as hard as you can and only activate the green thus not triggering any alarm which i found sub par as i was under the impression this sensor was more sensitive (enough to pick up door handles?- i was wrong) . In theory you could add more sensors by hardwiring them together and mounting around the vehicle but as far as i know they are not sold separately and the loom included is only about a foot long so that's not really an option... I ended up taking sensor apart soldering the led positives together to make sensor more sensitive and trigger on lighter impacts (again wouldn't reccomend unless you know what you're doing but this is what i found to work best for my application ) overall the product works but could be better and more sensitive or would work more effectively on a smaller object/vehicle such as a bike. I plan to leave unit installed for now but will be looking into other options such as a glass break sensor . You definitely get what you pay for . Is it worth it? It depends on your application. just wanted to write this review to help anyone who may want a deeper insight before going through the hassle like i did Edit∆ video shows 1 year after install after tinkering , rewiring and resoldering board to make more sensitive

Shock sensor is either wide open or off. The adjustment will not allow a decent range. Very touchy potentiometer. I ended up removing it and putting in a dei 504 shock sensor. I made my own relay controls to work with the ignition.

They didn’t provide any clear instructions on how and where the plugs were located or how to get there, i tried to contact them and no one answered to my email. they will also send you videos on how to install with your vehicle adds hock sensor web.
