realized when i opened it up i have another charger from this brand. happy with that and feel this will also work reliably. i keep auto batteries indoors in the basement shop during the cold months when the old cars are stored for winter. seems like indoor storage and these float chargers have helped keep my batteries lasting for years longer than they normally would. worth every penny.

Although the wires that are used for the terminal clips and the battery terminal connectors are a very thin gauge and relatively small, the charger doesn't move a lot of power, and hasn't given me any issues. It's not designed to charge fast at 1.5A, and is a better long-term trickle charger. The lights blink or stay solid to state the charging cycle occurring. The power unit remains warm whether actively charging or trickle charging, but not hot. The wiring always stays cool. I've used it on both a car and a motorcycle to maintain the charge while the vehicles sit, and have always come back to the charger stating that the battery is fully-charged and is in maintenance mode. For $19 (at writing), it's a perfectly acceptable vehicle trickle charger.

Reliable Charger! I’ve been using this brand and specific model for three years, and I have had NO problems! This brand and model is relatively inexpensive, and has proven Reliable for me!

Purchased this for my motorcycle for those long winter months that I can't ride and just stare at my bike (sigh...). Anyhow, the tender is quite easy to use, with the buttons right on the plug and corresponding lights to go with it. The only gripe I have is that the cord itself is not very long. You'd have to more or less park your bike right next to the outlet in order for it to be usable without an extension cord. This is not the case in my situation. So, I use an extension cord. It is what it is I suppose. As far as functionality, It works as intended, and works well. Buy with confidence!

I have eight of these and they charge and maintain my batteries. I have them on tractors, gator, mini hoe and my cars that aren’t driven regularly. My friend has a lot of them on his car collection and has had no problems. The only recommendation is to buy the extension cords as the charger on has about 4 ft lead. Simple to use

Small packages are the best, this very small charger, packs away in a very small space, BUT, does the job of a much larger charger.
