Safe-Release™ Painters' Masking Tape #2070 For Very Delicate Surfaces (1 in x 60 yd)

This is a white painter's tape that holds up well even in high humidity conditions. I use it to tape things on the wall, sometimes temporarily, sometimes not.

I use this tape for watercolours - I "frame" the current sheet on my block to give it nice borders. This tape is very gentle and is easily removed without damaging the watercolour paper.

Fast delivery. I replaced a roll of 3M tape with the same item number. This roll was notably thinner. I use it for temporary labels so I would perfer the old style.

Works better than blue painters tape for release without damaging the paper. I use it in card making.

For reasons unknown to me, this is NOT the same #2070 I have depended on for easy removal from delicatetemporary paper collage construction. It is too adhesive, and the paper backing resembles painter's masking taperather than the smooth quality of bond paper like that which I've been using; clearly not formulated with artists in mind.

This tape works very well to hold my quilting patterns in place during quilting and easily comes off without tearing the paper when finished.

I went to great lengths to find this as a sub for 3M Blue Painter Tape to blend with white walls. Tested small strips. Release from roll was a challenge. Appears to be strong enough for simple coverage and release over a period of time. As others commented, the tape is very thin & tears easy while unrolling. Key test will be how it releases 6 months from now and if adhesive gums up walls. So far I can't get it to stick to anything! Not even for the artist paintings. Too weak to stick to anything. waste for most applications. paper content does not help.

Ideal for delicate masking on delicate previously painted surface

Dieses Kreppband ist... speziell. Es hat eine klare Anwendung: Die ABSOLUT empfindlichsten Oberflächen, die schon leiden, wenn man sie nur schief anschaut. DAFÜR ist es perfekt geeignet. Aber: Der Tradeoff, den man dafür zahlt, ist eine wirklich niedrige Klebekraft. Teilweise quälend niedrige Klebekraft. Aber naja, dafür ist es da. Das ist GENAU der Sinn dieses Produkts.Trotzdem ist es wirklich manchmal etwas unangenehm zu verwenden. Ich weiß nicht richtig, was ich davon halten soll. Es hat meine empfindlichen Oberflächen nicht angekratzt, im Gegensatz zu nahezu jedem anderen Produkt. Trotzdem ist es SOOOO unangenehm damit zu arbeiten... eben ein spezielles Produkt für spezielle Ansprüche.
