Wow, I bought these for the novelty of them, really, but now that I’m using them, I love them. The texturing is heavier than my normal picks and they are stiffer, making the .60mm thickness perfect for both strumming and picking. Back story: So I’ve been playing Snarling Dog Brain picks for over 20 years. They were the very first brand of textured picks I’d ever seen, way back when. I noticed them in a little display by the cash register at Guitar Center and decided to give them a try. I immediately loved the way they helped me “hold on loosely” while playing. Before that I bought powdered picks., for the same reason, but that powder wears off rather quickly. The Dogs were an instant favorite and I really love those picks to this day. They last forever, but the last few years, I sometimes feel like the .73 are too stiff for easily strumming, yet the .60s are a bit too thin for playing lead. So I’m surprisingly thrilled with how these EVH picks feel and play. Like the title says, they may be the perfect pick…for me anyway. Great stuff.
