Great Device. Easy to Use.
I don't like playing with a watch-style device on my wrist. This attaches to my golf bag, making it easy for my cart partner to get distance readings. Easy to read and great battery life.

Very useful!
I purchased the Garmin Approach G12 golf range finder and it has worked out great for me. I've had it for a full golf season and this truly has helped me to become better at figuring out which golf club to use depending on the distance to the green. When you start, it finds the course you are at, it asks if you want to use the score feature, and what color will you be teeing off from. (Black, blue, gold, white, red) It took me a bit to become quick in navigating the buttons to score and advance to the next hole. I had to figure out how to change holes when our start off was not on #1, but was on #10 instead for the back nine. I also save all of my games using the blue tooth connection to the app on my phone, so that I can refer back to them. You can scan all of your games, where you played, your score etc... There are features that I probably am not using as yet but I'll figure it out eventually. I think for the money, this is small, simple, and easy to carry. I have it on a short lanyard to hang from my belt area.

Convenient Accurate and Easy to Use
I don't like wearing anything on my wrist while golfing. I can't hold a range finder steady enough to get an accurate yardage reading. This was just the perfect solution. Hides away in my pocket. Pull it out. Read the yardage. Pull an 8 iron from my bag. Hole the shot for eagle. Done! Well maybe not the hole out. But you get the idea. I love that it's preloaded with 30,000t courses and software updates are a breeze. Garmin golf app is the perfect companion as you can see hole layout and keep track of fairways hit, greens in regulation, putts and score to analyze later. Happy golfing!

Works great
Been such a welcome addition. I clip it to my bag. It might be inexact within a certain range but I'm not good enough for it to matter. Love it.

Solid GPS for Casual Golfers – So Far, So Good
I’ll admit—I’m a little excessive when it comes to golf. I bought this GPS specifically to get quick distances to the front and back of the greens, while I still rely on my rangefinder for pin positions. The GPS can be a bit slow to find my course, and the distances may be off by a few yards now and then—but at my skill level, that’s not a dealbreaker. I play around 100 rounds a year, and after about 9 months of use, the battery still lasts for about 3 full rounds per charge, which is solid. If the battery keeps performing like this and lasts around 3 years, I’ll be more than satisfied. Overall, it’s been a useful addition to my golf setup.

Small, lightweight, instant and accurate readings
Works very well. Instant yardages as I roll up to my ball. I don’t really use many of the other features, but generally speaking the yardage reading is fast and accurate. Golf courses are also acquired very quickly Unit is very small and lightweight and I like it in my pocket vs the clip. Kinda feel like I wish the clip could rotate or be switched to face the opposite direction

Not a quality product
This item worked two consecutive days without a problem. However, it began malfunctioning the third day a froze on the third day. It shows the correct time but nothing else. It hasn't worked since. Very frustrating!

I really like my Garmin Approach G12, because I just have to look at my numbers and I can select the right club for the distance I need. I have a regular rangefinder, but I find it takes a few more seconds to get your reading. I find I use the G12 more when I am playing. It takes a bit of time to figure out how to get the app and the G12 to work together, but once you start getting the hang of it, playing becomes easy. It's a small unit and I am always afraid to lose it, so I bought a strap to attach to my bag or my pants. There are better units, but Bottom line good product.

I have used this range finder for a few rounds now and love it. It's easy to use for the most part. I did have some trouble with keeping score when I first tried it out. I made the mistake in trying to use my phone (with the Garmin app) and this device at the same time. That doesn't work so well as I ended up losing my score completely. Not a big deal at that time since I was using the paper scorecard anyways. If you are going to keep the score on the device, don't sync to your phone to it until the round is complete. Otherwise you can lose your score. The battery life on this little device is also great. You won't have any issues playing 3-4 rounds on one charge. You may even get more out of one charge. I didn't try past 3 rounds, but the battery was still around 50% at time of recharge. I wish the device didn't have a proprietary charger cable and just used a USB-C connector. Highly recommend.
