These cutting disks have limits but work well. I use them to cut rubies. That's no easy job. They are very thin so care in planning is a good idea. (they don't waste material) The spindle supplied fits a Dremel standard chuck well but the disk lockdown area is very narrow and the disk must be aligned if using the stock spindle. I made a spindle with a wide head to support the disk. The diamonds are very well mounted to the disk, are very sharp and cut standard boul's similar to cutting hardened steel with a ceramic wheel. I would fasten down anything needing cutting, to the point of making a cutting jig.

I used this product to cut slate with my dremel. While the wheel is a bit flimsy, I did find that it could cut through entire stone backsplash pieces so that I could cut them to size for my project. I didn’t use water, but might have been a good idea- the dremel got really hot with the size of the wheel (larger than expected) and with cutting stone too. I cooled it off a bit between usage and was able to complete my project. Overall, definitely a good tool to have in your tool box.
