how much does this effect your fuld mileage ?

I do not know what effect on fuel mileage would be but, it should be very minimal. If something flips up and damages your trailer, fuel mileage is the last thing you’re going to worry about.

I have a 2 1/2" ball mount, how much room is needed on the top and sides?

I'm not sure I completely understand the question, BUT, I have a 2" receiver hitch and ball mount on my F250. There is PLENTY of room for the system.

can anyone tell me the ideal size gap to have between the road and bottom of the mud flap? Mine are dragging & I’m not sure how much to take off?

I’d say 3-4 inches on level ground with trailer hooked up. Maybe take one inch off at a time. Mine is about 4” from ground with trailer hooked up. Might be a bit too high. 3” would be ideal for mine but I took too much off.

can I get a 2 1/2 center hub only. I have both a 2” and 2 1/2” application. Will a 2 1/2” center hub work ok on a 2” application. Thanks?

Hi Bradley. Yes, the center hubs are available separately. The 2" center hub is item # RT034. The 2.5" center hub is item # RT057 and we now have a 3" hub item # RT059. The pinch bolts come as separate items - you'll need 2 qty. of RT052. A 2.5" center hub will not work on a 2" application because Rock Tamers mounts to your hitch (aka. drawbar, stinger, etc.) and you need to use the same size hub as your hitch.
